Cheap and cheerful
Fine entry level G shock type watch, for those that don't want a monster on their wrist and just want to tell the time during sport or doing gardening or banging a cabinet together. It's a sturdy'ish low cost beater you don't mind if it gets smashed in a year and it has some basic functions, light for telling time at night not bright enough, digital time to small for my eyes, but solar saves on batteries too and it resets itself to correct time after being in the dark drawer for a few weeks which is cool. Simple strap but only one strap keeper Is strange but ok, I like the orange styling and light slim fit.

Very durable watch
I bought mine from Amazon 6 years ago, and have decided to write a review now that it has finally given up the ghost. I'm shocked that I got 6 years out of it as I have been very rough with it and don't take it off much, so its taken plenty of knocks. I 'm always wearing it when I'm working under cars, which I shouldn't do as it some times restrict being able to get your hands it small crevices.I do like to call it "Triggers Broom" as it has a had a few new straps over the years. The original one lasted 3 years, then I seemed to have been replacing them every couple of years after that as I wasn't buying genuine Casio straps. If you need to replace a strap, but can't locate the original style one, I have been using this on for the last few years: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003R27HQS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&psc=1It does fit, but allows the watch to body to have some lateral movement on the strap, which the original didn't. This is the reason why I have broken so many straps. Just from doing press ups, can make the strap "pop" off, breaking it in the process. I know I probably should do press ups with it on, but like I said I don't take it off much, and the timer is great for circuit training.A great watch over all, especially if you want an analogue watch that doesn't tick. You can hear a sound when the minute hand moves, but that is obviously only every 60 seconds. I did want a watch that had analogue and digital, as this does. Its useful for setting alarms, setting a countdown timer and as a stop watch. You can also check the date and day. What finally broke on mine, when I refer to giving up the ghost, is the minute hand has fallen off. I was willing to continue using it as I have the digital display, but the minute hand has wedged itself in the recess, making it hard to read this too.Its probably time for me to update myself and go with a smart watch now. Although I'm sure I will have to be a lot more gentle with those, so may possibly come back to buy this one again.I paid £21 for this in Feb 2013. Well worth the spend. Even at the price it is today, and with a more gentle owner, I'm sure this watch could see a few decades use.

Superb piece of kit.
For starters I love the colours. I saw a decent pictue of the watch posted on another website and thought that for the price it was worth a shot. When it came through I found that it looks better than the photo and is a good size for my wrist, which isn't the boggest in the world for a bloke. It was easy to set up, though I did need to read the instruction booklet which came with it - rare for a bloke I know. When you set up the time you have to do so on the little digital display. The hands then move round automatically to the time set which I thought was really cool. There is no second hand (as in seconds, not the minute hand) which I dont miss, and the minute hand moves a slight increment every 20 seconds which you can hear if you are in a very quiet surround; I wondered what the sound was until I looked at the watch to see what it was. When you set the watch to summertime the hands automatically. The hands illuminate quite well in the dark for a little while after exposure to light. The main reason for the purchase other than looks and functions was that it is solar powered and waterproof to 100 metres. I will never need to take the back off the watch and comprimise the integrity of the 'waterproofness' and it will never stop due to a battery running out. There is a handy funtion where you press the bottom left button once and the digital display will show you the level of power left. This will prompt you to place it on the shelf in daylight for a while if necessary.Very pleased with this purchase :)

You get what you pay for with Casio but still good for the price I guess!
I have always had casio g shock watches but thought I would try a cheaper watch this time after my old solar Casio display started failing badly and only after just a few years. its replacement was a pretty watch but it's not very functional as minute hand obliterates the tiny digital read out between 20 past and twenty to the hour , so very difficult to tell time at night and made worse by poor quality small illuminating digital display that only becomes clear enough to read at night after fiddling around finding a very precise angle when all becomes in focus, too much trouble for me to bother with in the middle of the night, forget the hands , I sent it back for a more expensive new digital G shock watch I'm afraid!

Like it a lot
Great watch with lots of features and it's solar, so it should last a while. This version with the white markings is a lot better than the one with orange markings. It is easier to read in low light and the orange version looks like a kids' watch in my opinion. The only downside is that the watch strap is not comfortable, being too stiff, and the strap retaining loop (that's supposed to stop the loose end of the strap that gets threaded through the buckle from flapping around) keeps sliding back towards the buckle, meaning that the loose end of the strap is not held and it does flap around. The solution is easy - buy a better silicone strap for it, which is not a big deal.
