How is it that a 2 pack has a higher cost than 2 units individually, infact 3 individual unit are the same as a 2 pack..why?

Are there instructions on exactly where to drill hole in the drum?

Unfortunately there are no instructions. I just eyeballed it and it worked well.

Are you planning to ship this part in an envelope? I have had parts damaged due to the vendor using a padded envelope instead of a box.

Will this fit any snare drum, does it have to be Ludwig?

Hi. It depends. It didn't fit my snare and it IS a ludwig :) this drawing is actually wrong because there are two types. This one actually comes with the small screw ABOVE the knob while the photo shows below the tension knob. Don't buy this item from Amazon because they messed up here.
