Easy to fit and works out of the box I'm very pleased.

Spent a long time reviewing these kind of gadgets to get the right one. And I did. It was very easy to set up and works a treat. It automatically knows which of my 3 pieces of equipment has been turned on last and automatically links them to my TV. So, for example, I can have my freeview on the TV and then I plug in my computer to one of the other HDMI leads and it immediately puts that up on the screen and reverts back when I disconnect. I've had no dropout at any time from any of the pieces of equipment I read about in some of the reviews. It has saved a lot of hassle and I'm very please with the item.

I bought this to add a few extra HDMI ports to my Sony AV receiver. So far I have plugged in a Sony DVD player and an Analogue Mega SG Sega Mega drive games console.The DVD player is connected with a 1.8 meter Amazon basics HDMI and auto switches when the player is powered on. The Mega SG is connected with a 5 meter blue rigger HDMI cable and auto switches when it's powered on. I have tested it by watching a full film on the DVD player and listening to a full CD album with no drop outs or weirdness. Also I played through the whole of Streets of Rage 2 on the Mega SG without any issues.There is a micro USB port for extra power if needed, but so far I have managed fine without. I have seen others review the unit badly due to auto switching issues, my guess is that they had something like a fire TV stick connected to one of the inputs, TV box like the fire TV stays on and won't power down, this WILL disable automatic switching unless the the fire TV is powered down.In short this switch is perfect for what I wanted it for and now I can enjoy my Mega SG's pristine audio straight into my AV receiver amp and it sounds EPIC.

When I connected an xbox it made my smart TV glitch (game mode kept switching on and off?)

Auto switching worked for me, so I don’t have to touch the switch. I used this to connect a PS4 and a freeview recorder to my tv. Quality of the pictures is great.

What I received does more than what the advertised product says it will. It says it does 4k30.In fact t'll do 4kHDR at 60hz. Got a PS5 and an Xbox Series S plugged in and they both look great through it.Most HDMI switches don't auto switch. This one does, so another very handy feature.Just to note though, it'll switch to devices as they are turned on. However if you turn that device off, it won't automatically swap back to the previous one. But that's not really a huge problem.Feels well made. Great product.

Every now and then the switching from one device to another just doesn’t work… it’s very annoying when it happens. Hopefully getting behind your tv (or whatever you’re using this for) isn’t difficult to get to otherwise you’ll be getting very angry at this piece of gear

Ok folks I plugged in my laptop, my Mac Mini and a Snes Mini.When I turned on the laptop and Mac, all worked fine - switching was possible by pressing the button.All this changed when I powered on the Snes Mini - a horrendous white noise was produced through the monitor and no Snes system sound on the Snes input- it was however putting the Snes sound through the laptop channel!!.I turned everything off and turned on the two computers - again it was fine. This time I powered both off and the Snes on - it then worked - so for me I had to power off some items to switch successfully - reading reviews for other makes of hdmi switchers it seems they can all be a bit hit and miss so I will just stick with this rather than returning it.
