Q: Can anyone tell me the length of the inside seam? Also, do I need to order one size larger? I have read comments about the size on Amazon.com

The length of the seam depends on what size you get. I'm a 34" waist and got both medium and large. The medium fit quite snugly, like back in the 80s. The large fit 'normally'. The elasticated waistband is quite generous and if too generous has a drawstring as well. I'm happy with both but Gilbert are not like speedo whose sizes really are quite minimal and fit tight even if you order two sizes bigger. 34" means 34" 36", 36" and so on.
