Kel-Toy Jute Rope 3 Ply 75yd/Spool-Black

Looks a little more dignified than regular un-dyed jute twine-but not quite as raggedly/all-natural/ "organic" as hemp. I like the black dyed jute better. There's just one thing-this is NOT rope, it's twine...which I could see they meant when I looked at the picture...but I wish these companies would be clear about what they are selling...people don't have time for guessing games when they are buying a household staple like thread or twine or rope. To Sellers: please be more precise in your description next time.

Was a little disappointed as I thought the spool was bigger than it was. I used this to wrap wine bottles - just enough to wrap two bottles. Really needed a bigger spool. Loved the color and overall very happy with the purchase.

The Jute Rope 3-ply is so nice to use, and the black color allows for a variety in craft use.It is attractive and strong. I like to keep a variety of colors on hand for spur of the moment projects.

Wow! Other reviewers weren't kidding about the odor! My entire kitchen smelled like "Petroleum?". I needed ventilation when working with this product. I put the finished craft items in the basement to air out before I put them in my living area. (Hoping it works!] Also, it is stiff and waxy. I gave up on a bow at the end of my wrap because it looked so awkward. The cut off pieces that hang look pretty bad too.! I needed black and without seeing size and texture before ordering, it is difficult to choose from the few varieties available. Now I'm agonizing over a red and afraid to choose! .

I use this for crafts, its great! It's very thin and using it for wrapping can get a little hard because the rope has a plastic/ waxy feel to it but I think that's a minor issue

It's small rope, does what it needs to do and is strong enough not to break under a modest load.

It holds knots exceptionally well. No slipping whatsoever. We used this to hang light-weight theatrical props against in front of a black backdrop. Worked perfectly.

Good product, only reason I didn't give it a 5 is it wasn't thick enough for what I wanted it for. I need to learn about plies!
