What replacement bulbs would work best with this light?

Is it possible to comment this light unit to a car battery to run in my garage? I don't have any other means of getting mains to the garage.

You could maybe use an inverter to boost the 12v battery to 240v. The draw is only 22 watts, which is less than a headlight bulb, so the battery should last a while.

Can this light be hung by chains?

There are pre drilled fixing holes in the outer skin of the lamp. These are normally used for screwing to the ceiling but could be used for attaching hooks that could then be used for hanging chains. It is not really designed for hanging chains like the old fluorescent lamps but there is no reason that it cannot be done with a little ingenuity.

Is this good for a summer house

I would think , according to the regs, that an ordinary fitting would do a summerhouse ( best to check ) . Having said that , I Would fit one of these , belt and braces and also not much price difference between this and an ordinary one with a diffuser . Mines is in a greenhouse with orchids I mist every day . No problems at all . It’s a good fitting . A wee tip , if wiring it up through a “stuffing gland “ ( waterproof compression fitting ) put the cable through into the fitting then tie a knot in it . Stops it from being pulled back through the gland . I was an electrician and when making up extensions we learned we had to do this as the compression on the cable isn’t enough to stop it being pulled out accidentally or otherwise putting stress on the connections.
