Replacement Lever Tap For Homebrew Pressure Barrels

I had three taps leaking from earlier purchases of pressure barrels. two leaked at the tap and one from a hole in the plastic thread the thread washers were fine I bought three of these, but 2 leaked from the Tap I have found some of these to leak when the barrel is pressurised, with the barrel under no pressure they work well. Ballihoo Homebrew were excellent and sent me two replacements, these replacements are working well I was using 1 x co2 bottle per barrel, after the pressure in the barrel became low, I can only assume there must be a batch that were faulty

Ok just the job

Easy to fit and had no leaks even when the barrel was pressurised. Used a little PTFE tape and petroleum jelly to make sure of the seal, this may not have been needed but why take the risk?

Cheap and does the job

Does what it's supposed to! It arrived well inside the time shown on purchase confirmation.

Brilliant quality

Attached to a water butt the tap became progressively stiffer until, perhaps because it was exposed to morning sun for 2 years, the handle finally broke. I have had to buy another one, but am thinking of ways to lubricate the spindle and protect the handle from the sun.
