I had been looking for a string of pearls to give as a gift ever since my girlfriend mentioned how elegant a pearl necklace looks while we were watching a movie. Admittedly, I was a bit overwhelmed trying to determine the size of the pearls and the length of the necklace. I wanted to keep the gift a surprise so I didn't want to ask too many questions about such things... After going to several jewlery stroes without feeling I had found the "right" gift, I decided to look online. That is when I found the Pearl Source on Amazon. After a half hour or so considering the exact necklace I wanted to get her, I finally felt like I had the "right" one and purchased the necklace. The necklace arrived in just a few days, and once the shipping wrappers were removed, the beatuiful necklace came in a quality box that she still keeps the necklace in when she is not wearing it. When I surprised her with the gift over dinner later that week, she absolutely loved it. Her eyes lit up and she smiled with gratitude for the thoughtful and "out of the blue" gift. The necklace is a quality piece of jewlery, sturdy and attractive. The clasp is a bit challenging to figure out, but then again I am a man and the ladies seem to know how these things work... My girlfirend is petite and I found the 16" length and 7-8mm pearls were a perfect compliment to her natural beauty. I am delighted to see her wearing them when we are together either in a casual or semi formal settings and even just around the house from time to time on the weekend. She loves the necklace and if she didn't already have one I'd buy her this one again in a second. I'm fortunate in a lot of ways to be in a relationship with a classy woman who doesn't long for the biggest diamonds on the market--while she has her fair share of diamonds, she is much more of a classic pearl woman. Each Christmas, birthday, and Valentine's Day (and randomly throughout the year) she has a very strong shot at receiving pearls. This was the first time, however, I've ever purchased pearls online without having touched them at a storefront or anything of the sort. I was nervous for a number of reasons--one, I hadn't seen them in person but the reviews were all fantastic, and two, I ordered so close to Christmas that I was nervous that I'd be out of time for anything as a replacement if they weren't what I hoped for. Keep in mind while reading this that we are very big fans of the Sea Magic by Mikimoto line which I believe you can pick up at most well-known jewelers. We have had a lot of luck and success with stunning products at a fairly good price--pearl bracelet, two sets of pearl earrings, and a pearl ring. They are a very well known and highly regarded line of pearl jewelry, and what this necklace was up against. I will say that price played a big role in the purchase, but be warned: this does NOT look like a necklace purchased for this price. I was very pleasantly pleased by the quality when the necklace arrived and while I would not rank it as an equal to the competing line from Mikimoto, it is a far superior value. This speaks in no way negatively towards this necklace, I'm just very loyal to the Sea Magic line. Here is what I'll leave with: If you're looking for "cheap," this is not it. If you're looking for value, this certainly fits the bill. This would not be an everyday piece, it certainly holds the appearance and quality of an occasion necklace, which is what we'll use it for. Will I still buy one of the Mikimoto ones? So overly pleased by this, I highly doubt it.

I must start off by saying that, my wife loved this gift for our anniversary. The pearls were shipped right away and got to my house in perfect time for me to give to her. The pearls looked all perfectly cylindrical and shiny, the clasp is a typical clasp with a nice little design. All the pearls seem strongly tied together so they should not fall apart. In the end the pearls are of excellent quality. Now the reason I did not give it 5 stars is because I have a few gripes. The box the pearls came in was blue. It is a nice blue, but it does not seem as elegant as a black box would be. Also it would be a little nicer if there was more gold, the only gold was the clasp. Since I am not an expert in buying jewelry I expected more gold. In the end since it made my wife happy, I am happy with the product.

Anyways, I left the necklace on her desk, and she literally fell in love with them. She said the pearls on this necklace are actually bigger than on her previous necklace. (And I just chose the medium sized necklace.) This was a perfect Mothers Day gift, and I have only The Pearl Source to thank for that, and at such great value too. I'm sure big name jewelry companies charge much more, possible over double. Highly recommended if you are kind of on a budget, but still want to spoil your significant other or valued female family member.

These pearls arrived in a timely manner in a lovely navy blue display box, enclosed in a navy blue gift box. I was nervous about the purchase being unable to see them in person or handle them. When I opened the box they were beautiful. They where nicely weighted, they hang very lovely, they have a beautiful pearl luster. They shine with ivory, gold, pinks, and blue hues. They were not glaring white, which had been a concern of mine also. They have a very nice 14k yellow gold clasp. In your hand and on your neck they feel decadent. They were extremely high quality. They were each round with very small irregularities that are not noticeable at all during wear. They're the perfect kind of irregularities that show that they are genuine pearls. They were each well sized and each pearl was individually knotted. They were purchased as a mother's day gift for my mom, she has never had a strand of pearls, and these blew her away. She is so happy with them. Thank you for making them so affordable.

I got this for my Fiancée as a treat because she does so much. When I revealed them to her all she could do was stare speechless; captivated by the sheer beauty of these pearls. The presentation is beautiful and the primary case is nice for storing them. The pearls were impeccable! Absolutely perfect. The white gold clasp accented the pearls wonderfully and the length was just right at eighteen inches. The quality is astounding, and the price is just as amazing. I will definitely be coming back to The Pearls Source for all my future pearl purchases. After all, now I need to get her a bracelet and earrings to match this breathtaking necklace.
