Does what Duck Tape does ..sticks to things
Used duck tape for many years and was surprised to read quiet a few negative reviews as I'd always found it great in both professional use and home use. Gladly not disappointed with this latest roll either. I agree the tape is a little thinner than my last roll (3yrs old - was the big one), but it's retained it's strength, fabrics and materials improve over years and I'd say this is as strong as the old stuff. Still need to start the tear off, usually with a small bite on an edge, then t tears nicely in a straight line. It's really sticky, you have to work duct tape out to use it properly, keep it straight for as long as possible, because if it twists on itself and sticks togther, invariably you'll need a new peice (one of the manin moans in other reveiws - you need to use this stuff properly). I was enclosing some polyfoam to stop i being rubbed and getting damaged, so was applying to a surface that doesn't readily like sticky tapes, but it stuck really well asn as I did a double loop its vreated a great protective covering. I did the each loop in 3 sections, about 30cms long, long enough to keep straight, guide into the box and to the polyfoam separater without catching the strip on the sides, fixing on end on a corner, then using both hands to keep it tight and guide it onto ther separater in straight lines. Using this stuff needs a bit of patience, not to be rushed, as it will catch you out if you let it. Ths is the same for most good duct tapes, because once they've stuck, they're stuck..

Strong and good quality tape
This tape is really good. Well worth the buy for me and does what I need it to do and I will be buying it again. Its strong, it has a good stick, its easy to tear using your hands and very good at keep things sealed like dust covers and door covers.

perfect and worth every penny!
It's the good stuff, perfect for silencing an extrovert with no off switch, perfect for taping up a return package, perfect for securing boxes to reinforce the sides and protect the corners.

Contract work needs duct tape
I’ve been contracted to do a couple of jobs and as I’ve purchased this duct tape before I knew what I was getting. It’s a great shade of black and in use you don’t get covered in the adhesive. It’s strong enough to stop any ideas of escape, it will hold practically any size and there is enough for at least two jobs, if used thoughtfully. I love its ease of use, you just get it out of the box and away you go. In my game as a roadie, what did you think I was talking about? It’s an essential piece of kit.

I Have Ascended to DIY Greatness
Behold, I have acquired Duck Tape Original Black, 50mm x 25m — and I’m convinced I can now fix literally anything. Walls? Fixed. Shoes? Reinforced. My will to live during Mondays? Stabilised. This isn’t just tape. This is dark, glossy Excalibur on a roll. A waterproof, high-strength, adhesive cape of power. With just one strip, I repaired a ripped garden chair, a leaky hose, and my reputation as the family’s “least handy” person. I am now known only as The Tape Wizard. Strength: I used a piece to hang a coat hook. On a brick wall. With gravity. Still holding. Coat’s still hanging. Wall might be slightly intimidated. Waterproofing: I patched a hole in a bucket. Filled it with water. Bucket didn’t leak. I also patched my faith in humanity. Jury’s still out. Versatility: My neighbour joked, “Bet that tape can’t fix my car exhaust.” Challenge accepted. It no longer rattles. It now purrs. He calls me “Mechanic of Darkness” and bows when I walk past. It comes in sleek black, like a ninja’s tool of choice. Crisp, mighty, stylish. I half expected it to come with a cape and a certificate of heroic potential. I bought it to fix some stuff. I ended up fixing EVERYTHING. 🦆💪 11/10 — If it moves and shouldn’t, tape it. If it doesn't move but should, tape it harder.

Reasonably Good Duck Tape
I tried this brand, as I needed duck tape asap, over my normal industrial strength duck tape. The cons I have found are: it’s slightly thinner than my usual tape and not as strong although as you can imagine industrial strength tape means that whatever is being stuck together is not moving - ever. The Pros: It sticks well to different surfaces, I needed to hold up temporary insulation fabric to an exposed part of a loft conversion to stop a draft and it seems to have stuck well to plasterboard and the exposed wall. I had to apply quite a bit of pressure and use a little more than normal but considering the roughness of the materials it was being stuck to it did quite well. Also, being a thinner material meant it was much easier to cut without getting stuck to your scissors/hands which is the case with industrial tape. So the process was much less stressful with this brand. Considering how well it has coped with this project i assume the average use will be great. The Cons: I would be a little apprehensive using it on stronger materials like metal even though it does have good adhesion, it doesn’t quite look as though it would hold anything that may require a strong thick tape to keep in place.
