Look great and easy to install
These look really nice. They are very easy to install, are lightweight but... the reason I did not give this 5 stars is that I'm just not sure how well they soundproof. Will have to test further but I'm not sure about that.Still, they look really great!

Effective acoustic panels that can be used in new full wall builds or smaller spot applications.
I have ordered and reviewed many other panels that are exactly the same in design as these panels, and of different sizes. I’ll provide the same information as left in another review, and my specific thoughts on these styles of panels.Having a well acoustically treated room is important for critical listening spaces or for recording studio applications. Shaping the sound of a room requires a few methods of treatment; isolation, absorption, and diffusion. These acoustic panels add some absorption, mixed with diffusion. The approximate ½” thick wood slats will still reflect sound waves like a hard wall, but with them being spaced apart and raised from the soft absorptive backing they will diffuse some of the sound waves in different directions. The absorption of sound waves is handled by the ⅜” soft backing felt material. These panels are good for helping to control hi and mid frequencies, Preventing slap-back and flutter echoes from parallel wall surfaces. For controlling low frequencies/bass in a room requires much thicker acoustic panels, referred to as “bass traps”, that are often placed in the corners of rooms as that is where the low bass frequencies will resonate and muddy the sound of the room. The panels came in a pack of two that cover about twelve square feet. Considering the selling price for these panels, you can see how costly these acoustic panels are to treat a complete wall. Yeah, quality acoustic treatment is expensive. These panels can also be used in small sections or patterns on walls to add acoustic treatment to specific surface spaces. I’m using this pack of two on the back wall of a room setup for music production. The panels do have a nice clean, modern feel and add a bit of style to the room visually. These panels are easily mounted on walls with screws or nails, or long staples along the felt edge. These are effective acoustic panels that can be implemented into new full wall builds or smaller spot applications. They are definitely worth looking into if you are someone that is looking to acoustically treat a room. It does take some planning, and proper placement of various treatments. These are nice panel options, but costly, as with most good quality acoustic treatment options.

when sound deadening is a thing
got these to match another set from a completely different purchase and they work really well together. this is to upgrade my tiny vintage winnebago with a more modern effect. the factory walls are so thin it's like there is no filter for sound whatsoever. great in a rainstorm, terrible during a phone call. these are remarkably effective at reducing sound both coming in and going out of the camper. it's also seemed to increase insulative properties too. again, that could just be compared to the ridiculously thin walls from the original design, but hey, it's still a remarkable difference. this was only a small set of two, but they were accompanying panels i already had, so the size was optimal for me. good price for the size and quality.

Please avoid for your sanity
There are more cons than pros so I will begin with those.1. The "slats" are held on by staples that barely penetrate the surface of the material on the back. These come off so easily and cannot be pushed back on. You have to either put in new nails/screws or glue this on.2. Roughly half of my boards came with some damage on them. Either the slats were already loose, chunks of material missing, or the veneer was just peeling away. The packaging was in great shape and no damage on the wrapping so this came from factory like that. Very low quality assurance.3. The veneer material ONLY goes on the front of the black material. It does not go on the sides like many other companies. So you can easily see the rubber type material from the sides up close AND far away. The felt does hide is a bit but it's very apparent for the lighter colors.4. There is horribly inconsistent spacing on the side that was designed to slot it. One side of the panel has more of a felt gap. This gets pushed underneath an already installed panel. It's meant to slot in which is a great idea. The issue is that some of the panels (~50%) did not have any space on the other side to accept the slot so you see a much larger gap between the panels.5. These panels are shorter in height which allows for customization but not all of the pieces are straight so you will constantly see gaps between the panels.Pros:1. The panels are incredibly lightweight so you won't need any heavy duty mounting.2. The felt is thick and can definitely protect the wall from bumps and such if need be.The price for this product isn't worth it since many companies sell a much higher quality item for the same or slightly more. My contractor installed these on a small wall so I'm not out too much money but I will definitely be going with a different company for the rest of my home.
