Excellent upgrade or new to full-frame community
I've upgraded from a 6D mk ii and am delighted with the performance. Full frame cameras are a must if you are a serious photographer. This one still has a really good point-and-shoot capability, but full range of settings for the more creative. I'm particularly liking the improved auto focus ability, based on subject's eyes (including animals), and the high motor-drive speeds. Canon have an R to EF lens converter, which means you can still use your existing EF lenses, which was important to me, plus there is a better range of independent lenses in EF fit at much better prices. Prices are particularly good at the moment, ahead of the rumoured launch of the mk iii

Fabulous Camera
I bought this as my new main camera, already having the R6 MkI. It's a great camera with all the features of the earlier model and with more pixels which is important to me as a wildlife photographer as I often need to crop the image. The one very minor disappointment with this is that Canon have moved the on switch from the position on the left side of the body, where I was familiar with it, to the other side. Obviously, this won't be an issue for people who have just the one camera, but for anyone like me who switches between the MkI and MkII it can be a minor irritation.

Game-changer for daily usage
I've used so many different cameras and last time I had a Canon was many years ago with the 550D. I mean this is completely different level. I needed this camera to be a good photo and video camera, as having a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema camera for vlogs was too much work. It's easy to setup, lovely to work with. Plenty of great lenses (I know what the critics say) and still probably my favourite brand of camera, even though I do love my Fujifilm and Sony cameras.

Great hybrid
Love the camera. Responsive , great AF, lovely to hold. The quality of images are great. I have EF lenses and use the adapter and it’s still fantastic. For the money, I think you’ll get a wonderful camera hybrid and the video quality is far more than most will need

Brilliant!
I came from an EOS 80D which was a very good DSLR and I was able to capture some amazing photos in difficult lighting. The R6II is a whole new level. I do wish it had a screen to show settings (I shoot in manual mode) but I have been able to capture some fantastic shots of a band rehearsing in a studio with black non-reflective foam on the walls and only one dim light source but the photos are crystal clear and pin sharp and the camera focused on the eyes! Well worth the premium price.

Amazing technology!
I took some photos after getting the camera and they were awful. It is worth spending time understanding and learning how to use it. Now my photos are much better than what I used to get with my old DSLR. Worth the money.

DO NOT BUY FROM CAMERA CENTRE UK. Faulty product and got deducted 10% on my refund
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER!! FAULTY PRODUCTS! DEDUCTIONS ON REFUNDS! I was sold a defective Canon R6 MKII and got a 10% deduction on my refund. When I contacted the seller explaining the situation he answered me with a generic response: ‘ According to Amazon’s feedback and policy on returned items we have made a deduction on your return’ . Well if they read their own policy on Amazon they would be able to read this: ‘ All returns are subject to the following conditions, except where the goods are faulty or incorrectly described on the website.’ I was sold the product as NEW and the sensor had 26 distinct points of failure, yes , you read it correctly, 26. These were either dead pixels or dust. I don’t believe this was delivered by canon with such low level of control quality so it leaves one option open, I was sent a returned item much probably. I will be taking this further and escalating it with consumer’s protection agencies. No chance I’m giving them 150£ of my money just because. I will also be chasing compensation for the 28.50£ I spent to return the item with tracking and insurance. Proof attached. There’s no cost for me to chase this legally so that’s exactly what I’m about to do.
