I got this because my other one's mesh for the wood chips went missing and boy I'm blow away at what you get for the price and at a much higher quality vs the one I paid 3 times the price. The lighter was a very fancy one and the mesh had a nice plate connected to it so it doesn't fall off or my opinion go missing.

I ended up cutting the bottom off the wooden top to give enough oxygen for the chips to stay burning. Even then, they would go out quickly. I held the chip basket over a gas stove until it was red-hot. The chips only smoldered. They didn't burn, which seemed okay but odd. The smoldering chips emitted enough smoke for a drink, but soon quit. I never felt satisfied that enough smoke had entered the glass. It's not like the images on the marketing page. The fault is probably with the chips, not the device, although I still felt the need to alter it for better oxygen supply. I don't know if I hate it yet. Maybe. Until then, it gets 3 stars.I had no idea what the whiskey stones were for, until my AI eventually figured them out. Same with the ice molds. I had not consumed any whiskey, so don't blame it on that. A few useful instructions would have helped.All this earns this product 3 stars. :(

The media could not be loaded.  The GEEZO Old-fashioned Cocktail Smoker has a beautiful presentation. When you open the box, you see a soft, black velvet-like liner with the pieces appealingly laid out. If you get this as a gift for someone, the reveal when they first open the kit really makes an impression. I was really interested in the torch. So that was the first thing I grabbed. I clicked the trigger. Nothing. I read the instructions that said to turn the safety lock on. That's an adjustment on the bottom. Nothing. The instructions say, "When the butane is used up, refill the butane torch from the bottom..." Well, I certainly hadn't used any butane yet. Then I remembered that the ad said "Butane gas not included." Indeed, the torch is shipped empty. I think the instructions included with the product itself should plainly state that the torch is shipped empty and you must fill it with butane. I won't subtract any stars for this because the product is exactly as described in the ad. Fortunately, I had a can of butane, so I filled the torch and Wow! The flame is awesome. You can adjust it to look and sound a bit like a rocket engine or down to just a gentle whisper. It is a nice directional blue flame that transitions to orange. You could use it for creme brulee or lighting the grill or even charring wood chips in a whiskey smoker. There is also a pair of round ice cube forms that make ice globes about two and a half inches in diameter. Certain recipes call for smoked ice and these can be used. There are also six little speckled stone cubes you can freeze if you don't want to dilute your drink with water. There is a little spoon for ladling wood chips into the smoker, a brush for cleaning the screen of the smoker and small tongs for transferring the stone ice cubes into drinks. There is also a recipe book that includes instructions for various presentation and smoking styles. There are six varieties of wood chips in separate screw top tins. The smoker itself is wood with a metal insert and a lid to extinguish any flame. The idea is to only hit the wood chips with the flame for about three seconds at a time, so there is no danger of damaging the wood smoker. For my first foray into the hazy world of smoked drinks, I selected the cherry wood chips. I attached photos and a video of making that drink. The system works great. The smoke falls from the smoker into the cold drink and sits on top of the liquid. You put the drink up to your lips and smoke enters your nose as the drink enters your mouth. It is a multi-sensory experience. I found the smoke to be more reminiscent of a campfire than something like a cherry cigar. I think this is a fun change, but I believe its appeal will be a matter of personal preference. As a gift idea, I think anyone who enjoys a drink would have fun trying something different. This set looks very appealing and appears to be well made.

It came with lots of items for the price. And it does work. Just not the best. You get what you pay for.

I've seen some YouTube videos about making smoked cocktails and thought it looked SOOOOO amazing. I did a little searching and found out that they sell the tools for you to easily get that same look and fun effect.The packaging for this set was very professional and obviously customized to the product. The contents looked great nestled in the black packaging. There were even some extras included that I hadn't even remembered, such as a cleaning brush and ice molds. These are so fun! The stone ice cubes to keep the drink cold without using ice that will melt are a great addition to this set.There are several recipes included for beginners, but I decided to try out one from the original YouTube video I saw- it was an old fashioned video. I was worried if there would be a learning curve or if it would take a bit of trial and error, but it was super easy and I got the same effect the very first time using. So easy! I think the hard part will be learning which woods go well with which cocktails. So many to choose from!This set is very professional looking and just a wonderful addition to my cocktail cart that I imagine will entertain my friends for years to come!
