I have charged these batteries up but cannot yet say how long they hold their charge.

Great batteries for my Canon camera and oh so reasonably priced. The charger uses a USB connection rather than a mains connection ... I found this to be very slow to charge the batteries; it does charge them but takes a while. Overall very pleased as Canon no longer make the LP-E6 battery so this is a very good replacement and as I still have the original charger will mainly use that. On holiday, I shall try the USB charger again on long car journeys when charging time is less important.

So I've had this for just over a year and it has served be well until what just happened now where I could smell burning. I picked up this charger off the desk and actually burnt my finger because the charger had melted straight through. The batteries themselves are fine (not leaking or damaged at all etc) but this could have gone VERY wrong especially with a battery involved. Had it gotten any hotter this thing could have possibly exploded in my face (it sits at desk level). So I feel compelled to leave this review to warn others. I have used it for a while to be fair but it shouldnt be doing this!

I only just received my order, delivery just a few days from when I placed the order. Packaging, superb. Build quality first class. The batteries came fully charged and the charger works off of a usb block or by plugging into the computer. I can't comment yet on battery life but I'm sure it will be comparable to the original Canon batteries. The only negative would be that it would be nice if it came with the little plastic covers to use when the spare batteries are in your camera bag. Thank you so much Photoolex and Amazon.

UPDATE #2: Just bought a second set of these. After almost two years, I'm still extremely satisfied with the Photoolex batteries, and have a demanding week-long gig coming up, and thought it'd be nice to have four batteries... just in case... even though I probably won't need them. UPDATE: I just got back from three days of near-constant shooting, six hours a day, in Mexico City, and I only ran one of these batteries down 50%... didn't even need the second one! Far out-performed the Canon battery. Two batteries and a charger for half what Canon charges for just one battery! As soon as I got them, I immediately put my Canon battery in the Photoolex charger, and one of the Photoolex batteries in my Canon charger. So far, so good... nothing weird. They both charged fairly quickly, and when finished, I placed the Photoolex battery in my EOS70D. It worked fine... no issues. I'll be shooting in CDMX three days next week, so I'll see how well they hold up compared to the Canon battery, and will report back if I have any complaints.
