Q: I need to rephrase my question. i asked if this can stay on 24 hours;i should have said "indefinitely". unless i turn it off

Yes, you most certainly can leave it on indefinitely. Every person that responded “it must be reset every 24 hours” or something along those lines, is a complete and utter moron and needs to learn how to read. If you activate the timer after turning on the pad, it will shut off after 24 hours in max setting. HOWEVER, If you turn it on and don’t touch the timer button, it will NEVER shut off, EVER, until you physically do, or the power goes out. Moreover, you can also change the temperature of the heating pad anytime without interfering with it staying on or not. Hope this helps the people that read past the first sentence.

Q: Is it safe to put under pet bed?

Yes. But at less than 100watts, it will take a LONG time for the heat to reach the pet. If you use a pet bed, I suggest two possibilities. 1) put it on top of the pet bed. The cover can be easily unzipped and removed for washing. 2) Put it inside the pet bed, on top, and just under the pet bed's cover.

Q: Do you have a battery operated pad?

You wouldn't want one that worked on battery. Heating is an electric intensive operation. Most batteries would be dead in 30 minutes or less.
