Will this support a TV that requires size M8 screws?

Hi, This product is not suitable to decrease a size. It is designed to increase a 100x100mm bracket to either 200x100 or 200x200mm.

existing bracket holds 32 to 40 inch tv will this adaptor hold 50 inch tv?

The best thing you can do is measure the distance between your mounting wholes on the back of your TV. If the wholes are within the measurements given you will be fine. My TV is a 52” and fits fine but it will depend on your mounting wholes. Hope this helps

Does this work if i have a 75x75 monitor (u28d590d) to fit a 100x100 mount i already have?

Yes - I used these to fit a Samsung LED TV to a 100 x 100 mount. Googling your monitor code it looks very similar. The TV has much bigger screw holes set much further away than 100x100. The kit comes with bolts and spacers. Very strong, I was really impressed for the price.
