Seiko QHL062Y Countdown Style Sports Timing Clock, Yellow

Good little alarm clock! You can remove the legs and just have it as a very boxy alarm clock too. The beep is loud and annoying in a get-you-out-of-bed way, especially if it's across the room. It beeps once a second, four times, before launching into the full alarm, which gives you a chance to freak out, leap out of bed and stop it in time. The design is a lot of fun, down to using a '.' separator instead of a ':' before the seconds. My only small issue is that the backlight doesn't stay on for very long, and it's totally impossible to see the time in the dark without pressing the button.

It just doesn’t function at all, mind of its own and instructions and reality are worlds apart. Its a lovely looking piece of plastic, but I wrongly assumed SEIKO brand would be bullet proof.. I’d much prefer to give an opposite review.. too expensive for utter rubbish

The only way to clearly see the time in daylight is to press the button on top that brightens the display considerably for a short period. I can see how this would work well as a bedside clock, but as a desk clock it's not very readable at all. If there was an option to have the display in bright mode all the time, it would be much, much better, and I'd happily sacrifice some battery life for a more usable clock. As it stands, it's just not that usable, which is a shame as it looks cool.

I love the design and look of this product, unfortunately the display is too dim to make it usable. I returned this item and bought the larger Seiko countdown clock which is just right for me

Looks great, easy to use and set up. Only slight problem, in sunlight / bright light it is not easy to see the digits / time.

We had trouble with setting up the clock so we rang the Rubicon watch company and spoke with Steve. He gave us step by step instructions over the phone, the clock only gives you seconds between each step of set up of date, time etc. He was very helpful on the phone and the clock is working perfectly as described. Very hard to see but looking good

Love it! The plastic on this clock is superb - solid, thick, and perfect yellow. Print, on/off alarm switch is high quality. I found that during daylight the very faint non-lit yellow LED digits are actually quite nice. At night it is also good - I can turn it on when I want to look at it - and then it goes off. When the LED is lit yellow - there is light bleed through on left and right side - and that cheapens it a little bit. if you want it to stay on at all times - then you can get the 5V lead. I would have loved to pay more for a more liquid crystal LED - but then it wouldn't really be visible at night... so the current form/design is I think a excellent balance for a personal desk/bedroom clock. I do recommend it - after tens of cheap silver/black plastic electronic clocks that break fast and are just fugly... this thing is really a thing of beauty. Extra bonus pleasant/fun points if you run track.

Esthétiquement pas mal,pied en acier.Ce qui me plait c'est que la nuit il est discret(les chiffres ne s'éclairent que si on appuis sur le bouton du dessus)donc fonctionnelle pour voir l'heure la nuit.Bouton off-on derrière pour l'alarme.IL ne fait pas radio réveil.Mode d'emploi en français. Satisfait de mon achat. Possibilité de l'alimenter sur secteur,mais il faut trouver le transfo!!!!!

Guardando le recensioni di varie sveglie ho visto che avere un prodotto decente sotto questa fascia di prezzo è un po' come giocare il terno al lotto, quindi ho deciso di puntare su questa. Mi aspettavo un prodotto che funzionasse bene risparmiando sulla qualità costruttiva, invece sono rimasto stupito: per quanto sia interamente in plastica non scricchiola ed é molto solida. Il display non si legge moltissimo nemmeno di giorno, ma questo vuol dire che di notte non si rischia di rimanere immolati a guardare l'ora mentre si prova a prender sonno. La sveglia é molto forte: nessun rischio di non sentirla! Oltre all'orologio sono presenti anche le funzioni di calendario, cronometro e timer. Chiunque ami il marchio amerà questo prodotto, ma anche se non ci fosse scritto "Seiko" lo ricomprerei altre 100 volte.

Works as advertised, apart from that the product is a true icon in its design that harkens back to the day Seiko was the official timekeeper of the Olympic games. I love to have it on my office desk as a horology aficionado.
