the recipe book is full of errors
Although a nice enough machine it would benefit from the beaters being slightly off centre or possibly a bit longer. I have found most of the mixture is still at the bottom of the bowl in its natural state. This may be a fine mixer for some but not for me. It is resigned to the back of the cupboard. The complimentary recipe book is riddled with errors, so take care if attempting any of the recipes. That said, the cookies are delicious!

Budget Mixer
The first remark I must make about this product is simply this, please understand this is a BUDGET Mixer. This is not on a par with top end Kenwood, KitchenAid etc etc mixers. This is built for a price, but at Β£79.99, which is the price it very often sells for, its excellent for the money. We have a top end Kenwood mixer that is built like a tank out of heavy gauge metal, is very heavy and has a very powerful 1200Kw motor. The price on the Kenwood, about four times more than this mixer. You cannot hide the fact that you get what you pay for in terms of quality of construction and motor power. This Mixer by Wahl is made out of medium grade plastic. It is not heavy and has a 350 Kw motor. Whilst this is not heavy, it does have suction feet which stops it from moving when in use. The bowl has a 4.2l capacity and has a nice additional splash guard included, which helps you pour liquids into the bowl when mixing and stops the ingredients flying out when being mixed. It comes with 3 attachments a beater, a dough hook and a whisk. Everything you need for most domestic situations. So how does it perform? If you are going to be making bread every day and need a really good kneading action with plenty of power, this is not the mixer for you. If you are simply going to be making sponge cakes and the like, then this is a nice machine which will do the job. With a 350Kw motor, it is never going to give you strong performance. It is very plasticky and it does have a flimsy feel. At the original price of low Β£200, it was way overpriced, but at Β£79.99, it offers very good value. Whilst this is not the best mixer on the market, it is good for the money and I am therefore happy to Recommend this item, if your mixing needs are simple.
