If you're going on a cruise, this is non-negotiable. Cruise cabins are seriously lacking in outlets, and unless you want to play musical chairs with your chargers, this little power cube is a lifesaver.Make sure it’s cruise approved (no surge protection!), or they’ll confiscate it at check-in — ask me how I know. 🙃 This one passed with no problem and let us keep all our devices charged and ready to go.Yes, yes — we’re “supposed” to unplug on vacation, but let’s be real: phones help us check the daily schedule, communicate with each other, take photos, read the news, and wind down at night. Tried it on my first cruise and it worked amazingly. If you are a big Cruzer, you know that the outlet usage in your state room is very important. They normally only give you one to two outlets for all of your electronic devices, and this is the only one approved for cruises.

Worked great on our cruise where outlets in the cabin are rare! Provides 3 120V plugs and 3 USB (original not C) plugs. I wish the outlets on the sides were orientated such that power adapters could fit but know that would complicate manufacturing. Overall saved us big time!

I mean it totally does what you need. I got this because my work laptop's docking station was being a hassle with power storage and using a power strip/surge protector was distributing the power horribly. This definitely fixed as titled. I haven't needed the USB ports but I suppose they'd be handy.Not a fan of the shape, it is horribly inefficient, but it is what it is. Still, it's perfect for traveling, if that's what you need, will fit pretty much in any bag.

BE SURE TO PACK IT IN YOUR CHECKED BAG!!!This is a great little device! BEWARE, however... in the past, I'd always brought it on-board the ship in my checked bag and never had an issue. This past cruise, I threw it into my carry-on bag, and the screener confiscated it saying it was a fire hazard!!! I argued, but she wouldn't budge. Fortunately, it was a newer ship with enough outlets, so I managed ok, but I was quite angry. Not a pleasant way to start a vacation! If I'd been on an older ship, it would have been a nightmare. They did return it at the end of the cruise, so I'll have this little gem for next time (and I'll be sure to put it in my big suitcase!).UPDATE: I just learned that Royal Caribbean recently changed its policy (in 9/2024), now banning ALL outlet splitters (it appears USB splitters are still permitted). I might purchase a USB splitter for the future to free up more outlets. In the meanwhile, I will still bring this splitter, but put it in my checked bag. Hopefully, this move does not encourage them to search my luggage, though!

Purchased for a Princess Cruise as ships are notorious for only offering a single in cabin outlet. This converts a single outlet into multiple options, which was perfect for powering our phones and CPAPs while sleeping. It's such a handy outlet that it has traveled OCONUS with a travel sized power converter, which makes for a fantastic travel companion. Highly Recommended.
