I have chubby thighs. I would probably have to get my pants down below my knees to get this thing positioned correctly. Any big gals used these?

you have to get your pants down, this is more confortable when you fly, public restrooms, etc. more cleaner and safer

Anyone used them before?

Yes, I have arthritis in my knees and used them on a trip to India. Life-savers for me in public bathroom situations. But practice at home before using them out in the world.

Have any ladies out there used these with spanx that have gussets?

I have not - but having used it for travel I do not recommend using them with spanx - a bathroom where you cannot sit to pee is a very challenging environment in which to mess with a garment that can stretch and snap back without much warning. It could be disaster. In any case, I highly recommend you purchase some and practice in the comfort of your own home first to see how it works for you, with and without spanx. Good luck!
