Inexpensively nice
The rosin is hard and light yellow. It was in two pieces with loose shards. I scored it with scissors and it rosened up the bow quickly. I bought this violin because of the 'good rosen reviews' and the dark color to it in the picture. I was very disappointed to find a different rosen, but it works okay. The bridge is not an even half circle, it is deeper down on the low note string position. I assume that is normal? Pictures show the bridge to be even. I made some sounds and it seems okay to play thusly. One string was out of the peg hole and I had to use a needle nose plier to get back in and wind it up. The pegs don't slip yet, but must be pushed in to hold. I like the sound of the violin. I am a beginner and just want to make some sounds without worrying about being in tune or pressing the right notes. It is for my mental health which is in the pits. A few bow hairs were loose and I cut them, they feel like plastic. I had a hard time getting the bow back into place in the case. It has to be done in a certain way, pay attention to the way it comes shipped, I didn't. The overall quality is nice with just a few white varnish dots near the edge. I am having trouble getting the neck rest into place and will have to fiddle with it quite a bit to figure it out.

Lovely wood violin
You get a lot of bang for your buck with this violin. Chin rest, bow, rosin, extra strings and a soft case. I was amazed at how beautiful the wood finish is. There was a tiny ding in the finish but easily touched up. The violin is lightweight and so easy to purchase. I remember trying to rent a violin for my daughter when she was first learning. I paid more for a rental than what this cost. So convenient! You do have to put the bridge in place. It is clearly marked where to place it ( Look for notches). A video on Amazon shows how to do it. Just make sure to loosen the strings before. Then tighten strings a little at a time as to keep the bridge from shifting. I was pleasantly surprised to see a humidity detector built into the case. Let the music begin!

Perfect!
My daughter wanted to learn violin, so did I. I wasn’t sure how long my daughter would be interested so we went cheap. Ordered two of these, so far so good. They have a pretty good sound. They are cheap but that was the point. Had a few issues with strings breaking but I think it was user error not manufacturing error. The case is very nice. Very pleased all around.

The neck is a little crooked , but otherwise it plays okay
At first I couldn’t get the tuning peg on the E string to stop slipping out of tune so I looked up a video on YouTube of how to fix it and that solved the problem. Only issue I really have with this instrument is the neck isn’t perfectly straight, making the strings shift closer to the other side of the fretboard. So far I’ve been able to play it fine though and my violin instructor hasn’t had an issue with the sound. I do plan on upgrading though to a much better instrument as soon as I am able to. Note: the carbon fiber bow in the picture is something I bought on my own it wasn’t included, the bow that came with this instrument is a brown one which isn’t pictured here. If I had to recommend to people though I’d save up for a better beginner instrument. Even a few hundred more will get you a better built and better sounding violin. However, I needed something fast and cheap so I got this one to start with.

Beautiful tone, lovely little instrument
This is a beautiful violin - I was impressed that it includes the hard case, the extra strings, rosin and the hygrometer. Since I am a beginner it took a while to tune correctly. It probably didnt' help that I chose a humid day, I had to tune, let it sit, tune again etc before the tones stayed. The fine tuners helped a lot with this and is much easier than just using the pegs. The fact that it has fine tuners at this price point is also amazing. My husband plays fiddle and he said this instrument produced a beautiful tone, and wasn't that far off from his higher end violin. Excellent value for money. I also own a banjolele from Kmise and it is a high quality instrument that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.

Sad by the way I received product. Strings are messed up
I have done so much research in which violin and felt so good in purchasing this one. I can’t knock the product itself but I received it damaged.

Well unless if you want to spend double the price of getting it fixed
The violin looked good! A few days later, my son snapped a E string while tuning it, so we took it for fixing. The violin repairer said, “The strings are very cheap, and the tuning pegs are very in the peg hole” and now we have to wait an another 2 weeks for it. And the repair price was.. $220 AUD. I paid $270 AUD, while on sale but now i have to pay the double of the price, which actually sucks.
