Natural Alum Block 100 g

On second thoughts...
My first thought on this product was that it was seriously overpriced compared to some alum blocks. However, that was before I noticed that this one was bigger than most of the other blocks.Once I realised this and did a little bit of arithmetic, I saw that the price of this is pretty much in line with most of the 50 or 75 gram blocks - this one is actually 100 grams. Also, now that I've bought it, I do think that overall it's worth that extra few quid. Inside the cardboard box, the block is contained in another clear plastic box - useful for travelling. If you're a wet shaver and haven't yet tried an alum block, you don't know what you're missing. Get one, and when you finish your shave rub it lightly over your wet face. It will give you a slight sting anywhere you've shaved a little too vigorously, providing a sort of bio-feedback on your shaving technique; It will also do all sorts of wonderful things for your skin, and stop the bleeding in any spots where you've given yourself a little nick. Feels great too!

very nice if you like alum
This block is the right size and comes packaged in a nice plastic case, so is good value for money. However, I find that I cannot get my face to appreciate all this. I have a tendency to buff quite a lot after my regular passes and find that applying the alum tends to result in redness afterwards. So not really for me.Incidentally, I also use a AS or ASB so I don't really need another step in between...

Alum-tastic!
Nice big solid Alum block in a clear perspex casenot a bad buy at all, considering it's larger than others offered on on Amazon, and feels like it will last for months. The Alum itself is of a nice 'tingling' quality when wet and applied to the face, so you know it's working ! short review because there's not a lot to say really - it's an Alum block and i like itMatt

Old School
A great product that works well, and this alum block comes in a handy little plastic box. However, a little overpriced and a quick Amazon search will bring up cheaper options.

Way too expensive.
Alum blocks are fantastic for stopping any bleeding from tiny nicks & cuts, & for toning the skin after your shave, especially if like me, you hate using greasy feeling balms or moisturisers on your face. So, overall, a great product, but way overpriced. I picked mine up (non brand name) from a local Asian owned store for 59 pence!Don't be conned into paying over the odds just for some fancy packaging.

dont half sting
ive got into single blade shaveing ,shave brush and all that stuff, this is kinda like an old fashioned after shave,to close the pores but doesnt smell, and a styptic all in one, theres plenty of web sites on this stuff now,it should last at least a year if its put back in its plastic container, wich its supplied in,even though it stings ,its refreshing, and you certainly wont get no spots lol, just make sure you rinse the powder off your face when its dried, hard to say if i'd recomend it or not,its kinda funny stuff.

Good stuff
Does the job and the plastic container is an added bonus for storage/transport. Good value for online shopping but have given it 4 stars as if you shop around some corner stores etc you can get the same for 60p and a plastic container for £1 odd.If you can't be bothered shopping round corner stores and the like a good buy online.
