Snooz helped my 2 dogs sleep through 4th of July Fireworks in my dense neighborhood in Central LA
I live in a dense neighborhood in Central LA where fireworks happen pretty much year-round. L The 4th of July and New Year's are much worse, but it’s a consistent occurrence. I moved in two months ago and wasn’t expecting nightly fireworks, so I decided to create a real safe zone for my dogs. Last year, my young Great Dane got so stressed on the 4th she ended up in the emergency room with stress colitis. She was passing nothing but blood for a week. I had to avoid a repeat, for her sake and for mine. I turned my bedroom into a sound safe bunker. I propped pillows up in the tiny windows, nailed a queen-size futon mattress over the top half of my absolutely massive window, and even with all that, I needed more. Hellooooo SNOOZ. This thing is loud—in a good way. It uses a real fan (vs a digital loop) and the difference is more obvious than I would have guessed. I can’t stand YouTube white noise recordings anymore; they’re way too harsh on the ears by comparison. SNOOZ may sound like static to you, or fast rushing water -- whatever it sounds like to you, it really helps me get into a more relaxed state and I've noticed improvements in my sleep... But you may need to change the tone/pitch/etc. of your wakeup alarm or you will miss it. I started with one SNOOZ. That helped, but not quite enough with my 10ft high ceilings, lots of windows, and back corner unit with more exposure to sound. So I bought a second. Then after surviving the 4th (which was apparently more subdued than usual for this neighborhood, yikes), I sighed and got a third. Now I run the 3 of them in a triangle formation with the base of the triangle in my largest window. I've also put some cheap trays around the speaker to amplify it. It also helps to leave one on when I’m not home so my dogs don’t bark at every little noise. For context, both dogs are on trazodone and gabapentin during holidays. They also wear heavy-duty ear protection. So I’m not saying SNOOZ is a miracle fix on its own for every dog. But if your dogs are super sensitive and you live somewhere with constant noise, this is the best white noise machine I’ve found. It’s expensive and not perfect, but it’s cheaper than the ER and definitely cheaper than going out of town every time fireworks ramp up (which you can't always predict). 4 stars because of the price -- I wish there were better discounts for buying multiple units (SNOOZ, hit me up!!). That being said, this is 100 percent worth it if you’re in a similar situation. Caveat: I have only had this product for a week (as of July 2025). If any of the 3 units stop working or malfunctions, I'll update my review.

SNOOZ IS THE BEST WHITE NOISE MACHINE BUT HAVING 2 WAS A TOTAL GAME CHANGER SO GET 2!
We bought this because the ratings were so GOOD & we just bought a 2nd one because the first one has been so good! It is the loudest and it has never quit working & we've had it for over 2 years. But, I always wanted to have two because I would hear neighbors and our dog outside or the alarm or my husband getting up, etc., so I bought another & together we have the most effective tool at giving us all uninterrupted sleep. The second one drowns out ALL the environmental sounds & all the other sounds in the bedroom. For example, the alarm clock next to my husband wakes him up but I don't even hear it and if I am in bed and he gets up, I do not hear him. Same for him, he does not hear me coming and going, so it is wonderful. You don't realize how much noises affect your sleep until the sounds that do affect you are eliminated. A couple of days ago someone across the street was hammering and we could not hear it, the next door neighbor who is about 22 feet from our window & the new snooz and despite the fact that they were doing something outside & that close, we did not hear it. --------BUT CHECK THIS OUT, MY HUSBAND POINTED OUT THAT I DIDN'T EVEN HEAR OUR DOG BARKING OUTSIDE THE OPEN BEDROOM DOOR, YESTERDAY! DO You think You would hear your dog barking right outside the THE OPEN bedroom door ? That's how good having 2 works, with one on my side of the bed, just above my head, on it's own stand! I don't thnk any other white noise machine beats that! Here's another thing, I am now able to sleep through the noisy lawnmower right on the other side of the wall from my head and between 2 single pane old glass windows. We used to use the fan, then we got the snooz and it was not loud enough to drown out all noises for me. I am the one with the most difficulty sleeping, so I would still use the fan but the fan is not ideal all year around so I bought another one it has us ALL sleeping uninterrupted and that means we are all getting Much More Sleep. It has been absolutely shocking to realize that when you thought you only needed a certain amount of sleep that suddenly you are getting MORE hours of sleep because of the effectiveness of this Snooz white noise machine! So, we are all delighted with a second one. Our dog no longer hears other dogs and wants to get up and go outside, so we are especially delighted that we have 2 and we realize that we are finally getting the best sleep of our lives because it completely drowns out inside and outside noises! I can't hear anyone snoring when I face in a different direction, so I frequently do not even know if everyone is in the bedroom or they have left, I have to ask, because our bedroom is very dark to help us sleep. YET, when we first go to bed we can easily talk to each other for a few minutes before we go to sleep so I also told someone that I believe these would be good to help drown out noises outside while allowing you to converse inside. We darkened our bedroom windows years ago with blackout curtains so we would sleep better. We recommend you get 2 so that if you want to, you can drown out all other noises! Having 2 has been a game changer & we now recognize that we are sleeping like we've never been able to sleep so well before! That is absolutely astounding! It is such a game changer that we have all been rather shocked by it so we recommend you have one facing the bed and one up next to one side of the bed but not necessarily on the side table and we think you will be shocked by how much better you all sleep! Someone just asked why NOT have the Snooz next to your head. I do Not mean that you should NOT have it next to your head when you sleep, I just meant that I placed mine on a basket behind the 20-inch fan that we USED to use with the Snooz machine to block noises & it is nearer my feet or knees. The reason it is there is because my side table is too small to hold the snooz & other things I want to reach for during the night, like a drink, but now I realize that I am not drinking much during the night, likely because we are not using the fan & also because I am sleeping without waking. Think of that, we used a fan for years, then added the snooz, & still I sometimes used the fan, and NOW, without the fan, I don't need to drink water during the night & I am sleeping without waking! How about that! It is an AWESOME Game Changer! I used to think & told everyone I only needed to sleep 5 hours a night ! Everything has changed since we got TWO, so you really should get this, it has been a total game changer for me and for us! Sometimes I am tired & need a nap & I leave the bedroom door open and the TV & lights elsewhere can be on & because of the snooz, i can sleep soundly while life & TV goes on without me! I recommend you get TWO! Highest recommendation possible for this incredible white noise machine!! I want to update my experience. I have a type of asthma, not actually asthma, but from long standing sinusitis and since we have quit using the 20-inch fan for noise during sleep, and because we now have 2 of these snooz machines, I noticed I do NOT have to use my inhalers as much during a 24-hour day. I think the 20 inch fan made me need my asthma inhalers more, just like I needed to drink more during sleep! I am still awake between 17 and 21 hours a day, but now I sleep at least an average of 7 hours of sleep after I am able to go to bed and go to sleep. I remember once we had some sort of viral respiratory infection and we could not stand having the fan circulate the air because it was making our throats really hurt, so that made me realize that the fan was actually causing air to go into our mouths, but I never had any idea that it could be affecting my breathing and causing me to need my inhalers more. So, the use of 2 of these fabulous SNOOZ machines has actually changed our lives for the better in ways I had not anticipated! I have another update: We removed the fan and we put the snooz Just up slightly above my head, almost next to my head, on it's own stand and it is perfect at blocking out sounds and allowing me to sleep, so having it almost right next to your head with the sound on HIGH, works Very WELL! I hope you experience superior sleep when you get the snooz and that will change your lives for the better, too! i think you will realize that using these gives you the sleep scientists say we must have for our very best health!

Love this product
I did not want to spend $100 on a white noise machine, but I also did not want a sound machine that had rain forest/ocean noises with downloadable apps, timers etc, and fans always get dusty. This one is just on/off and has perfect, consistent noise. Really helps with sleep. Looks nice, too. Glad I bought it.

I like this thing
I got pretty sick and knew I wouldn't be able to take my dogs out for their usual exercise and fun for at least the next week, and every sound from our building would set them off since theyre more amped. So I used what energy I had to look up a noise machine that would mask outside sound, sounded "real," and didn't have any noticeable skipping or resetting of a sound track. The regular type snooz model was in one of those best of lists, and I looked up the stats. Seeming to fit the bill, I ordered it and basically went back to sleep until the next day when it was delivered. Thanks prime, and thanks having a fever. The machine was packed well inside the box, and the directions are pretty dang straight forward. After fiddling with it for a few minutes, I found the sound I liked/tolerated the best and set it up where I needed the most help: the part of the wall against my building's stairs. Here's some pros: - The fan doesn't falter and has a consistent sound the entire time - It masks sound to a degree - It can be extremely quiet or super loud and you can control that! - It's small and innocuous - The app is easy to understand - The app is Bluetooth only so there isn't extra steps of connecting to wifi - No annoying ticks or resetting sounds from a recorded track restarting! Have I mentioned how nice it is to have a real fan? - It sounds real, not like a speaker, so no electrical or tinny sound - You can use the app to turn it off and on as well as adjust volume, so placing it up high won't be annoying - The app also allows scheduling on and off times so you can set it and forget it Here's some cons for control freak dog owners: - the sound initially freaked out my dogs. I strongly suggest starting on the quieter settings and pelting your dog with treats before using louder settings - Because the app is Bluetooth only, I won't be able to adjust the machine when I'm not at home (this isn't really the worst because I'd rather it not be connected to my wifi. I'll take that hit.) - You can't adjust the tone of the sound with the app (not a deal breaker for me because I just need to set that once) Overall it doesn't completely eliminate all sound from the outside if you live in a poorly insulated, old balls, small apartment building with an upstairs neighbor that thinks racing up the stairs using his full bodyweight in each step is the only way to go up the stairs like I do, but it DOES dampen the sound. It also means that it will somewhat dampen/mask the sound coming OUT of my apartment as well, making me less worried about my dogs' play sounds being annoying to my neighbors. My dogs have been reacting 50% less to outside sounds which had been a load off my mind (in addition to food puzzles, lots of toy play time, small yard breaks. A noise machine is not the only thing needed to help keep dogs chill.) I haven't seen them this calm for this long of a stretch at home since my neighbors went on vacation. I recommend this noise machine to people looking to mask outside sounds or even inside sounds from getting out, and if you're looking to mask sounds in a place bigger than 6 or 700 Sq ft, I would get two+ to cover different rooms. My outside noises all come from only one side of my place, so I feel comfortable with just the one. If I decide I want one for the other side of my apartment or yard for privacy, I'll get a second one so this first can stay where it is.

Fantastic
Note that I have not downloaded the app or tested those features for this review. I have zero complaints about this machine, its simple and easy and creates a white noise environment that is helpful for me. I actually bought this in the hopes that it would help my tinnitus - it does not particularly help with that, but it has created a comfortable white noise level that I enjoy and appreciate. I love that this is mechanical - again with Tinnitus, other tone machines use repetitive frequencies my ears can pick out and create agitation for me, and thats why I sought this out. Being mechanical, you don't have to worry about sub-par, electronically generated noise and bad speaker quality (looking at you, Homedics). Buttons on the machine are touch based and more sensitive than i initially realized; they are responsive, work well and are minimal. Like I said I haven't tested the app, but I can't say that I feel like I'm missing out on them. You don't really need a scheduler - you turn it on and off when you go to bed. You could say there is a convenience to changing tone and volume from your phone; sure, maybe. I find it way simpler to find the tone and volume you like and just leave it at that. Does what it says it does, there really isn't much else to say - either you like white noise or you don't, this is an effective machine that lets you choose tone and volume for what is comfortable. It's on the pricier side but if you value white noise for whatever your reasons, this is absolutely worth the investment.

My favorite white noise machine
My husband and I have been using white noise machines for years. We have tried several different types. However, this one is by far my favorite. It's very simple and only has one option which is the fan sound. You can turn it up or down or on or off and that's it. I like this because that's really the only setting I need. The light on it goes off immediately so you don't have to deal with an annoying light, keeping you awake. The sound is consistent and strong and soothing. It's a little pricy, but so far it has been worth it.

Pricey, but worth it
I have some trouble with falling asleep and staying asleep, and like a lot of people, those problems got worse after the pandemic started. It got to the point where I was exhausted all the time and really needed to do something about it. I have used white noise to help me sleep for a while, but it was usually incidental - a humidifier running in winter, a fan in the summer. But in between those seasons I really missed the comfort of white noise. I tried playing digital aps from my phone or over a speaker, but the sound quality always felt off. It was like my brain knew it wasn't "real" and it became more distracting than relaxing. Which is exactly why I gave Snooz a try-- it's mechanical, not digital, so it's the real deal fan sound I'm already used to. And it was exactly what I needed. I'll try to break this down into a couple categories: -volume: the volume range is pretty impressive, from barely-there quiet to quite loud. I usually sleep with it set to 4 (out of 10), or down to 3 or 2 if I have it on while reading or working. At this volume it blocks out minor noises from my neighbors (condo with shared walls) and most street noise, except for extra loud trucks or motorcycles. -sound quality: being a mechanical fan, this machine doesn't have the range of options that digital machines offer, but it does allow you to change the fan's tone by twisting the body back and forth. The range of the tones wasn't quiet as wide as I was expecting. Maybe it's just my ear, but both far ends of the spectrum sounded pretty much the same to me (like a big box fan). There is some range in between but not a ton of nuance to my ear. It felt like maybe 4 distinct options (low, medium, medium high, low again). Still, I found my sweet spot right in the middle, and haven't had any reason to adjust it since. At this tone it sounds a lot like the mid-sized standing fan I use regularly. -app/features: I like that I can use the app to adjust the volume from my bed, and I don't need yet another separate remote. I don't use any of the timer features (I turn it on when I go to bed, and off when I get up), but I can see how this would we useful if you use the noise to fall asleep and then want it to fade out. You can't change the tone via the app (only by manually turning the body), but once you lock in the tone you like I don't imagine you'll need to adjust it too often. -appearance: the Snooz looks kind of like a larger Google home mini speaker, so it looks right at home with my other bedroom tech. I like the cloth covering and the simple interface (just 3 buttons on top, power and volume up/down). It's small enough to travel with, and pretty lightweight. -price: yes, it is definitely on the high end of the spectrum for white noise machines. Digital machines start around $20, and if that sound works for you then it may not be worth spending a lot more money. But if you haven't had luck with those machines or if you already know you like a fan sound, this is worth a try (there is a money back guarantee). The biggest proof that the Snooz has helped is in my Fitbit sleep scores. Pre-pandemic my scores averaged in the low to mid 80s, but for the last two months they had dropped down around the mid 70s. I have been using the Snooz for a little over 2 weeks now, and in that time (with no other changes to my routine) I've seen my sleep scores go up around 5-7 points on average. The stats show that I'm spending more time in the deeper stages of sleep and that I'm tossing and turning less. I can feel the difference it's made in my mood and energy levels. To me, that's well worth $80.

Snooooze

Spero funzioni come promesso. L'apparecchio non è altro che un generatore di tumore attraverso una ventola, forse con 20€ si ottiene solo stesso risultato, non con 200€ Mi stupisco che ci possano essere recensioni positive

One of the best investments I've made in a product here on Amazon
This is a fantastic product. It produces a consistent sound, and with different intensity levels, it can adapt to various scenarios. The interaction is very simple. The button easily turns it on and off, and the sound level adjustment is easy to make. It's one of the best investments I've made in a product here on Amazon. We used to use the fan as white noise, but there was a problem with cold wind in the room, especially in the winter. It's worth buying if you like the mechanical sound of a fan without producing wind in the room.
