I had another copy of this
But watching this in 4K all over again where it showed me that it was a very good story to do with Superman

11/10! A love letter to arguably the most misunderstood icon.
- Do you think Superman is too OP? Are you convinced that no matter what people can't write riveting stories without Superman sharing the spotlight with other superheroes? Watch this movie.- Do you believe that Superman does not have compelling lore? Watch this movie.- Are you someone that thinks Superman is too boring with his goody-two shoes personality that is incapable of having character depth/layers? Watch this damn movie.I wouldn't recommend this as your first Superman watch, in fact, the more of his lore you know, the sweeter this will be. However, even if you are somewhat familiar with Superman's lore, fasten your seatbelts to experience God-tier Superman material! I won't touch on plot points, but the segment where Clark and Luthor are "working together" in prison is absolute perfection. Props to the impressive art style, sublime animation, incredible voice acting, and the immaculately thought-provoking ending. If you enjoyed this, read the graphic novel as well! Here are my recommendations for other captivating adventures/character-study of good ol' Kal-El:1) Superman: Birthright (Comic book run by Mark Waid. The finest origin story for Supes.)2) Superman for all seasons (Comic book run by Jeph Loeb. Impeccable character study of Clark Kent that goes very well with any Superman origin story.)3) Superman: The Animated Series (From Bruce Timm's team aka the gift that keeps on giving with a truckload of lovingly-crafted quality stories.)4) Superman vs. The Elite (Or "What's so funny about truth, justice, and the American Way?" comic to understand why Superman's morality will always be relevant.)5) Kingdom Come (By Mark Waid. A badass storyline with Superman and the Justice League.)6) Death of Superman and the Return of Superman. (DCAU movies, or the classic comic book run.)7) Superman: Red Son (By Mark Millar, now a DCAU movie. I recommend the comic book run/collection over the inferior version that is the movie. The movie cuts out quite a bit of meaningful content, and makes changes...for the worse.)
