Water bottle pockets are a rarity on any bag big enough for lacrosse goalie equipment - and this has an insulated pocket which can hold 3 of 32 oz bottle or 2 of 32 oz plus a blue ice. WOW!! Love the separate cleat space. Well balanced and easy for middle schooler to carry even with goalie protective gear and change of clothes.*Almost* the holy grail of sports bags. Several folks are putting lacrosse sticks into the tennis racquet pocket due to lack of stability with a single velcro lashing for sticks (lacrosse, field hockey, bat, etc.). A goalie stick is too big for the tennis racquet pocket, so it needs a second loop for each stick you want to secure, either above or below the velcro, to stabilize carry rather than the single loop that is simply a pivot point for the stick to swing (into other people, into your legs, or cross-wise into doorways). If you get some elastic cord and a sturdy sewing machine needle, a loop can be added in less than five minutes. Too bad it's on the customer for this modification to both sides, as otherwise its FANTASTIC. Can't wait to try the bag for field hockey gear in the fall.

Amazing bag! I got this for my son for lacrosse. It fits everything (helmet, pads, pinkies, jerseys, gloves, water bottle, balls...) without stuffing, the exterior is padded so it holds its shape even when empty, the large access pocket in front makes it easy to pack and unpack, lacrosse stick hands securely on the side. My son was able to ride his bike to practice, hands free of gear and perfectly balanced. Nothing rolls around inside or pokes you, and the way it Carrie's it feels like an air light load. The price seemed high so I debated for a while before buying, but it was worth the $$. Other boys were using duffle bags, too small backpacks (I even saw a golf bag) which were awkward, cumbersome and the kids still had to carry their sticks (and sometimes their helmets too). The ONLY possible drawback? They only come in black so I couldn't write my son's name on it. But I bought a cool personalized name patch and sewed it on there so all fixed. Maybe the manufacturer should consider offering personalization to buyers...

Tried to order this back pack twice as it looked perfect for my son. First time I only received a cooler type case, maybe 14 inches by 9 inches. I assumed it was a mistake and requested a replacement. When it arrived the second time it was the same thing. I gave up and sent both back. Very disappointed

The bag itself is very good. Plenty of room, quality construction, nice features. However, the lacrosse stick holding features are completely inadequate. One loop of velcro means that the stick will flop all over the place and smack the backs of your legs when you walk. it also means that it will not last long when the bag is thrown down on the ground, loaded in a car, etc. A stick sleeve and bungee system would make the bag perfect.

Bought for my son who is U10, since most bags are difficult for the smaller guys to carry on their own. He loves this. PLENTY big to fit all gear, with room to spare for pinnies, balls, other gear and there is even a cooler compartment. He has used for travel season and multiple camps. Bought this because other bags seemed to have reviews saying they were too small to fit all the gear well. This bag does not have that issue. And it looks sharp too. Definitely a good find, and something my son will get a LOT of use from. Have not had it too long (few months now) but seems durable. Definitely a good bag for lacrosse.

Let me start with I had ordered a couple other bags previous to this one and they were too small to fit all my 11 yr olds gear. The bag is a bit large on him but he loves it. This one fits all his equipment including helmet and he has room to spare, so as he gets older and the helmet and pads get larger, it will still fit everything, which I like. The complaints are minor, the stick holders on both sides were made of velcro that comes apart rather than a loop that you could just slide the stick down into. There is a pocket in the back that were used to hold the stick instead which seems to be easier and works better. There are two pockets on either side that zip from top to bottom which he uses to hold his water bottle, but since it zips to top to bottom, it does not hold the water bottle in place well, it tends to push it sideways. If you did not have the straw, then this would not be an issue as the bottle alone is quite large, it is the straw that is in the way. Another review stated it did not fit all their 7 year olds gear, but this is not the bag I bought, maybe they had a previous version, I ASSURE you this fits all the gear. I also like the seperate compartment for cleats, this way he does not have to dig through the bag for his shoes or things that he switches with cleats when he plays. Other than these two small details, I would recommend the bag.

This bag is awesome! My son plays multiple sports and I like the have a separate bag for each of them to keep practice/game days easy to get to. He recently took up lacrosse and finding a bag that fits everything isn’t easy. Well after lots of research and checking out what other people had (that didn’t seem to quite fit everything) I pulled the trigger on this backpack. Glad I did, it fits everything with room to spare and looks great. Everything seems to be good quality, I guess time will tell as far as that goes. I would highly recommend this pack for anyone looking for a very large backpack to fit lots of gear.

Just got this backpack but already impressed! It's HUGE inside. My 10 year old son's lax helmet and pads easily fit. I read previous reviews and put the stick in an opening in back rather than Velcro side. I think a possible improvement would be 2 Velcro holders ( top/bottom of bag). Overall, bag seems great. **Update** My son was even able to fit a soccer ball and change of clothes in a along with his lax equipment.
