Well-Made Cast Net for Live Bait Fishing
I picked up the Drasry Saltwater American Fishing Cast Net to catch live bait, and it’s been a solid performer. The 3/8″ mesh size works well for shrimp and small baitfish, and the net opens cleanly when thrown, which makes it easy to get good coverage in shallow water. The net feels well constructed and properly weighted, allowing it to sink quickly and close effectively once it hits the water. The material seems durable enough for regular use, and it hasn’t shown signs of fraying or weak stitching so far. I also appreciate that it’s easy to handle and manage, even for longer sessions. The hand line is comfortable to grip, and the net is simple to rinse and store after use. Overall, it’s a dependable cast net that offers good value for anyone looking to catch live bait efficiently.

Good quality and price!
Nice net! Good price!

Great for the price
First of all it’s not a top tier net but for the price point it’s a bargain. Do the weights rust? Yes but it does not hurt the function of the net. For the price I don’t think you can beat it because regardless of the quality one oyster bed or stump and the result is the same.

Weighted lead for faster sinking
My father absolutely loved this casting net. He caught about half a bucket of sardines with one throw. The lead at the bottom of the net helped with faster sinking, and the bag it came with is small so its very easy to carry around.

Gets the job done.
I upgraded from a 6 foot net to this 10 foot net and it is a world of a difference. It was practically impossible to catch decent size pilchards but now with 1 cast, I catch 20-30 in one go. The mesh size is perfect for the larger ones and lets the smaller ones swim through. I do still carry the smaller net if there are no large pilchards or baitfish. It sinks fast, works well, I cast it the same as I cast the 6 foot net. It is a bit more dificult to handle since it is much much larger than me but I manage. I did not bother maintaining it with fresh water so it started rusting but honestly that does not bother me as long as it keeps working and sinking as it does now.

Decent net for the price
Mesh is a lot tougher than the mono nets, but like other cheap nets, it is not tied together very well. Most knots are loose and some will come untied. The weights are held in place by flimsy string that will need to be repaired regularly. The brail line is loosely tied and the knots catch on the net easily. I had to re tie each line with a betting knot that won’t come untied and will not snag on the net everywhere. I also a second line tied around the bottom to secure the weights in place. (This net is actually advertised with this second line securing the weights, but does not come with it). The steel weights only have a thin zinc coating and start to rust quickly even if you rinse with fresh water after every use. With some small improvements, and a little care and maintenance, it’s a good reliable net.

Not a big fan of the extra lines at the top of the net.

Muy buena, aunque deberian de dar sugerencias para principiantes ya que en la playa nos comentaron que era una red camaronera. Aun así pescamos algunos cangrejos. 🙂

Have used this net a few times maybe 5... I have always washed it thoroughly to get salt water off it before storage.. Despite that the plating on half of the edge weights has dissolved and what's left is rusting.. I am going to return this item
