Review: Great job - Great job Review: Flawed design - generally a nice piece of kit but a few bad design points: The "flap" sits flush with the internal face of the door leaving a 2" rim externally for the rain to gather on. The internal cover to secure the flap at night etc clips on. It is, once in place, very difficult to remove. Neither my wife and daughter are able to. I have tried to sand down one side of the clips to ease this but a rethink really is necessary. This would not be suitable for anyone with arthritis in their hands. ## Features - Closing panel for added security - Easy do-it-yourself installation - Available in white ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0013DJFQS | | Best Sellers Rank | 35,616 in Pet Supplies ( See Top 100 in Pet Supplies ) 33 in Doors for Dogs | | Brand | PetSafe | | Brand Name | PetSafe | | Closure Type | Flap,Snap | | Colour | White | | Country Of Origin | China | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 20,799 Reviews | | Dog Breed Size | Medium | | Frame Material | Plastic | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00729849109674 | | Included Components | Core Covers in, Cutting Pattern, Hex Nuts, Inner frame with flap, Nylon Screws, Outer frame, Product Manual, Snap-on case | | Item Type Name | PetSafe® Plastic Pet Door | | Item Weight | 2.5 Pounds | | Manufacturer | TV Non-Branded Items (Pets) | | Manufacturer Part Number | PPA00-10959 | | Material | Pvc , Metal | | Material Type | Pvc,Metal | | Mattress thickness | 2 Inches | | Maximum Compatible Thickness | 2 Inches | | Minimum Compatible Thickness | 0.06 Inches | | Minimum compatible thickness | 0.06 Inches | | Model Number | PPA00-10959 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Pet Type | Cat, Dog | | Size | M | | Target Audience | Dogs | | UPC | 729849109599 729849109674 | | Unit Count | 1 count | | Weight Capacity Maximum | 40 Pounds | ## Product Details - **Brand:** PetSafe - **Colour:** White - **Material:** Pvc,Metal - **Mattress thickness:** 2 Inches - **Size:** M ## Images ![PetSafe Plastic Dog and Cat Door, Medium,For Pets Up To 40 lb,Paintable,Easy DIY Installation, Security Cover Included, Install in Interior and Exterior Doors or Walls, Durable, Adjustable Flap,White - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61S6F7NZwEL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Could you list the dimensions in metric please? Only the US uses inches...** A: Below I have copied & pasted the dimensions in metric, they are direct from the advert when I purchased, hope they help For Pets up to 45 kg Frame dimensions: 508 mm x 341 mm Flap Size: 413 mm x 259 mm Cut out size for walls thinner than 54 mm: 489 mm x 292 mm Cut out size for walls thicker than 54 mm: 464 mm x 269 mm **Q: can it be fitted into2 inch thick toughened glass** A: To be honest I would be reluctant to put one on glass toughened or not, the glass would have week points and the way some dogs (mine included) crash through the flap could put the pet in danger from glass breaking ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great job *by T***R on 26 July 2026* Great job ### ⭐⭐⭐ Flawed design *by S***Y on 1 January 2026* generally a nice piece of kit but a few bad design points: The "flap" sits flush with the internal face of the door leaving a 2" rim externally for the rain to gather on.
