Upgraded from P30 Pro. First impressions are awesome!
After reading tonnes of reviews, I decided to go for it. Got a deal with headphones and a cover. Three packages arrived at different times but everything is good. Now, the phone: I am a long term of user of P30 Pro. I'm not a fan of Huawei's UI but P30 pro is still awesome after nearly 4 years and is more than capable of taking stunning pictures, very good battery and still handles all kinds of software. The point I'm trying to make is that it is hard to beat. However, I think S23 Ultra made it. The camera is definitely next level, and if you know what you're doing with photography, is a serious contender for the foreseeable future. I'm also impressed by the quality of sound on the videos too. Some friends sent me private messages on the back of my latest social media posts to ask if I have a new phone and comment on quality of content. This was adding to a "Wow" effect.120hz display is definitely awesome, even not at highest resolution.Battery is very good but real measure for this can be done after a year. Slightly annoying that it doesn't really charge nearly as quick as the old Huawei. However, this could be a good thing for battery life, who knows. It is the first phone I have with an S-pen and I think in some situations it is great! Certainly works like nothing ever so accurate. And is great tool to remote control your camera shutter - great! The overall feel of the phone is very nice, even though 225 gramms is a substantial amount of weight. Now the "not so great" sides:Firstly, it is a shame that a flagship of a phone costs so much money these days. However, this is across all manufacturers so I guess it is partially inflation and shortage of microchips - we need to get used to this. On the bright side, I can say it looks like there is no compromise on quality of materials used on the S23 Ultra - you get what you pay for - best technology available today.Secondly, the phone is pretty big. Not unmanageable big, just an "XL" phone. I'm a bit annoyed that the cutting edge technology has to be of this size. Quality of the screen and overall experience make you feel you can live with this though. One advice - when getting a protector bumber, might be a good idea to take a ring at the back of the case too - for better grip.Thirdly, same as all manufacturers, Samsung is trying really hard to pre-install their ecosystem of apps that may not be suitable for everyone. This is a problem with all manufacturers, to be fair. I just spent half a day cutting down apps and permissions. In conclusion, having used various manufacturers through the last 10 years, including Sony, Samsung, Huawei and Apple, every one of these manufacturers has some features that are awesome and others that aren't so great. You cannot buy "a best phone ever", just depends on what you like.I like the S23 Ultra and think it's worth the money and the upgrade. Time will show but my first impression is that this phone can breeze through the next 5 years with no issues.Hope you find this useful!

Wow
Ok, so I've had a couple of bad experiences in the past with Samsung phones, mainly down to the Exynos processor being so inferior to the Snapdragon, which created performance issues. So when I saw this phone will have the Snapdragon 2nd Gen processor in the UK, I decided to take a chance. And I'm happy to report this phone is absolutely incredible!I've used OnePlus phones since 2019 and charging from OP to Samsung meant a different software experience. But what I find One UI 5 does is bring you a much nicer experience. The UI doesn't feel heavy and laggy, instead it feels much lighter and works well with the phone's hardware. I find my user experience to be butter smooth and very fast! The display on this phone is absolutely amazing. I like the fact that you have a squared look rather than rounded corners. Watching videos in landscape are nothing short of breathtaking. Samsung make the best phone panels in the business and they will always reserve their best for their flagships. The cameras on this phone work well. I have no complaints about the pictures and videos I have taken so far. You get the minor delay in image processing, but that's because the software is creating the best possible output for photo you have taken. The battery life on this phone is very good too. I'm getting around 7-8 hours screen on time. When you have QHD switched on with a number of widgets and background processes, you'll always get more drain than running minimal services. But I have a lot running and can make the best of the phone, without worrying too much about battery life. The phone doesn't charge in 59 mins, it takes just over an hour for me. But I'm hardly gonna lose sleep over 10 mins extra charge time.Overall, I 100% recommend this phone. I am very, very fussy about my phone experience. I notice lags and stutters which a few may not. But this phone meets all my expectations and I am a very happy Samsung customer.

An outstanding phone - one which won't need upgrading for years to come!
I got this phone recently during the offer which gives you double the storage (512GB instead of 256GB) and a Samsung Chromebook for free - but this review is based on the phone itself, and wow what a phone it is!If you've not used an ultra phone before, you will notice the weight difference! This phone is not the lightest in the slightest - but when you realise what's inside you'll know why! The battery life is incredibly good so far! Even without power saving mode, I'm getting at least 1.5 days worth of charge easily when at home using wifi. When out using the 5G it dips slightly, but if you turn on power saving mode you will have plenty for the day. This alone is a worthy consideration for the phone. The display is gorgeous, with UHD quality and the biggest display I (not counting folding phones) currently, you'd be hard pressed to find a better one (I'd say the iPhone 15 maybe comes close). Finger print reader is in the screen still, slight delay unlocking but not too noticable. The audio is good, and with Dolby Atmos on it's even better! Never turn it off, the Atmos makes a difference! The phone runs incredibly smoothly with the Snapdragon chip, and the screen is highly responsive. The S Pen is included underneath the phone - I personally do not use it often, but it's a nice thing to have if I need to make a quick note - easier than unlocking and trying to see where I saved the Note app! But as the screen is smaller than a tablet or iPad, it's not my go to for note taking. Now the biggest aspect, the camera! Going up to 200MP, the camera is no joke. This does take up massive storage (50MB a pic) but you then have 50MP and 12MP options too - the 50MP is a nice compromise between the two. You also have the feature of removing unwanted objects from pictures, similar to the Google Pixel phone - so you don't even need to consider that one anymore!Overall, I love this phone! I did not think I would want to upgrade from my S20+, but I am very glad I did as this phone completely changes the game on what I thought mobiles could do. Looking forward to what the S27 Ultra has in store now!

Samsung brand has never disappointed me.👍
I am a Samsung fan girl so bought this handset with high expectations and am delighted to say that it's at least as good as any of its many positive reviews suggests. The display, the processor speed and functionality of its 5g connectivity are all every bit as good as my previous Samsung devices have been.. ..Yet so much better in every way, especially in terms of its battery life.Seriously, by using the battery protection feature and never letting the S23 Ultra charge beyond 85% or discharging below around 10%, I'm seeing a typical 48 hours of extremely stable hot spot provision with excellent connection speeds both from the 5g in my home village and from the 4g that I use with my car head unit out and about if 5g isn't so stable. The phone runs at a very reasonable temperature and never seems to be above 32 Celcius in spite of its intensive use as a hot spot, connecting to Bluetooth and WiFi devices, casting to my TV and even for making telephone and WhatsApp video calls!Yes, I actually use a telephone for making calls, perhaps because I'm old enough to remember when these things were solely for that purpose! Then we have the cameras. I've seen some modern rival devices that come close to matching the quality of its optics and the comprehensive menus that have yet to fail when I need that special photograph.I bought this in June, or was it July, either way, here we are into November and the S23ultra still looks and performs as a split new example would do, it's extremely robust, has yet to pick up even the most minute of scratches Admittedly I treat it with extreme care and use a wallet style case for it most of the time but even under a loupe that magnifies to around 50x, the beautiful lilac body, the screen and that camera lens array are in as new condition.I was a little concerned that the S23ultra has no facility to take a storage card, but my 512GB version is proving to be absolutely sufficient and with Web connection speeds this good, there's no hardship in using cloud storage or a USB thumb drive and OTG lead if I should fill the storagespace. Is anything about the S23ultra worthy of negative comments? No, and I have tried to think of something!OK, the case has 90 degree corners, so dressing it up in its wallet case and taking it out when I don't need the handset to be cased can be quite a strain on the fingers compared to the S20+ that was my previous Samsung handset, but even this point can be a good thing too, because the last thing anyone wants is to have a handset slip out of its case and fall.Clutching at straws? Absolutely, but I know that some folk like to read of the unimportant and personal minor niggles!I love my S23ultra, she's a larger device than some but in this case; bigger truly is better!😁👍Thanks for reading the above. I hope that my points of view will assist some people in deciding to buy one of these brilliant devices.👋⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The best phone Samsung has ever made
So for some context I used to use Samsung up until the S8 because the quality of the silicon running Samsung's phones took a nosedive for many generations Which caused me to switch to iPhone.Samsung have absolutely nailed this year with the S23 Ultra using the Snapdragon 8Gen 2 globally! The battery life is absolutely phenomenal even with heavy use I'm getting between 7 to 10 hours of screen on time per day depending on how much of the day is on 4G and how much of the day is on Wi-Fi but even with a whole day of 4G I'm getting 7 to 8 hours of screen on time.Doing any kind of task on this phone is a breeze no matter how light or heavy the workload is the 8th gen 2 from Qualcomm at absolute best gets a little warm and thats it. This phone runs so smoothly and stays cool at all times. For example usually the first day during setup phones get very toasty due to all of the downloading however setting up this device over 4G barely made the phone noticeably warm to the touch !The software is very stable and functional as always from Samsung, updates have come regularly and continue to improve the device. The S pen is fantastic however sometimes I do have a slight problem with it getting disconnected and needing to be put back in the phone to be reconnected. That's literally the only issue I've encountered with this device.

Premium, Powerful, and Packed with Features
I’m really happy with the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra 5G Dual SIM Android Mobile Phone, especially the 512GB Lavender UK version with the 3-year extended manufacturer warranty. This phone is a true flagship, offering top-tier performance, a stunning display, and one of the best camera systems available. The 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display is bright, sharp, and super smooth thanks to its 120Hz refresh rate—perfect for everything from streaming to gaming. With 512GB of storage, you’ll have loads of space for photos, videos, and apps, and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor with 12GB RAM keeps everything running fast and smoothly, even with heavy multitasking. The camera setup is a real highlight: a 200MP main sensor, two telephoto lenses (3x and 10x optical zoom), and a 12MP ultra-wide lens, plus a 12MP selfie camera. It takes incredibly detailed photos, handles low light well, and the zoom is impressive for capturing faraway subjects. The S Pen is a great bonus for note-taking, drawing, or precise editing.Battery life is excellent with a 5,000mAh cell that easily lasts all day, and you get fast charging, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging for extra convenience. The phone has a premium glass and metal build, is IP68 water and dust resistant, and supports all the latest connectivity options including 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3.Users love the speed, camera quality, and big, beautiful screen, though it is a large and hefty phone. The 3-year warranty adds extra peace of mind.If you want one of the best Android phones available, with loads of storage, a fantastic camera, and a gorgeous design, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra 5G Dual SIM 512GB Lavender is a fantastic choice!

Insanely good
First Samsung phone I had was a Galaxy S5.. bought back in 2014.. Then I got myself an S6..and until recently it served me very well. However that was a long time ago and it's reached the point where a much needed upgrade is needed.. So I went for the latestmodel and I have to say I am very impressed.. The quality of build, the weight is not heavy, at least not for me and only adds to the feel that you own something of quality..It's insanely snappy, the quality of the screen is so sharp and a pleasure to view, the addition of the s-pen is very welcome... As for the camera, being a very avid photographer, I own a Sony RX10iv and am very happy with the results I have gotten using it, however I am astonished with the quality of image, that you can capture with the s23 ultra, are, for a smartphone, truly amazing. If your are an android fan and you want the best Samsung has to offer, you will most definitely not be disappointed with the S23 Ultra, in every respect, it is most definitely Samsungs best ever phone.. So it isn't exactly inexpensive but once you get one in your hands, only then will you understand.Oh and the battery life, is excellent..I can use it all day and still have at least 30-35% battery left, before dropping it onto the wireless charger, before bed.I highly recommend the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

Still waiting for a refund from Amazon
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra 5G Dual SIM Android Mobile Phone, 512GB, SIM FreePurchased the above, from the Samsung Store.Had problems immediately with calls; Phone call and WhatsApp calls. Not hearing everything (dropping out in the middle of a sentence) and also problems for the other person, whether they called me, or I called them.Contacted Samsung through the Amazon site. Spoke with a Technical Agent for 30 minutes. No joy. They suggested I send the phone back for repair. I declined the offer, due to the cost of the phone.I contacted Amazon, to seek a replacement. After being transferred to 3 different agents, I got a very helpful guy called Mohammed. He informed me that it was not possible to get a replacement. The only option open was a refund. He sent on an information email and the postage labels to return the phone.I returned the phone one week ago.My order is showing as 'Refund Requested'.I have not received my refund, as of yet, as they say they will only refund, when they receive the phone.I have no phone and I am £1,400 out of pocket...

Bad experience 😪
Phone died after 4 months. The saler is not cooperative. Not recommended. Find another saler and Amazon it self is the best.
