I was worried about ease of use but this is great. The lock works great on our RV trailer hitch. No worries now about coming back to the RV park after seeing the sites and our RV being gone.

Put this on my trailer to keep the "opportunists" from taking it. Fits well on the 2" ball. Easy-on without key but needs key to take off.

This lock is well made, fits good on coupler, and is a nice bright color to deter theft. It is made out of lightweight metal and I'm sure could be defeated with a sledge hammer by a dedicated thief. It does keep honest people honest though.

Item is just as described. Consists of a bottom piece that is the male ball section and an upper piece which is a u-shaped bar to place over the top of the trailer tongue. The u-shaped bar has recesses cut into one side to allow for the locking mechanism to engage. You simply leave the key turned in the lock to remove the u-shaped bar, place the ball into the trailer tongue, place the bar over the top of the trailer tongue and into the two holes of the bottom, adjust to the desired height, and turn the key to engage the lock. Comes with two keys as well. No issues in recommending this as an added layer of security to your trailer while it is not being used.

I haven't tried to break the lock but it seems to be working well so far.

This hitch lock is sturdy and well built for that reason we'd give it 5 stars, but it doesn't fit completely to the top of our hitch, it's slightly slanted and won't fit squarely on top, which concerns us a bit. It seems to be snug just enough to keep it on but if anyone can put a little force behind it, it might give out n come off. Would we recommend it ? As far as it being well made and hefty, we would, but ck the specs of your hitch first to make sure it sits squarely on top of it, we didn't think we had to do that, thought it was a universal size, apparently not. Great product otherwise.

I even got both safety chains locked up with it.
