Review: Works better than more expensive ones Review: I cannot say enough about the Clairol Professional Beautiful Collection (CPBC). Let me say this, I have been using this since over 15 years maybe even before that! I have used to sorts of brands that are semi, demi, permanent and everything in between and nothing has come close to the satisfaction I have had with CPBC. People stop me everywhere I go asking me what color, where did you get that color, is it henna, on and on and I just say it's CPBC non permanent rinse. I am about 45 -50% gray now, but I used it back when I had little to no gray and it enhanced my own color which is a mousey brown. My hair type is 4C and I have been wearing it natural most often than not. For me CPBC lasts about six weeks, but the edges start turning back gray first, and it is gradual not just the roots. My go-to are all the colors noted and I'm about to try the honey blonde. The honey brown goes on darker and gradually turns a dark honey brown. The 14kt gold is what I have in my hair now, and tends to be a bright golden almost a hint of slight copper. The advanced gray in the light golden chestnut is more reddish in my hair. I use this when I get bored and feel an alter ego. Since this color is hard to wear down I tend not to use it as much. Depending on your hair type, porosity, and what you are looking for, this may be for you too! I'm finder keeper and CPBC for life!

I like this hair color. I've used it for years. The packaging and delivery is terrible. The Amazon box was cut on the top. The contents were thrown in. Some of the hair color leaked onto other items, that were thankfully covered in plastic. The hair color itself was just thrown in. I know these colors come in a nice box of six. I ordered groups of eight, but why rip them out of the original boxes? My last order was very nice. Each bottle was secured in plastic wrap and placed in the box that hold six. No leaks.

Based on other reviews and answers to questions. I bought this in "Gold" color to refresh my light brown/dark blond hair in between the monthly permanent hair dye sessions. This did work but the color was quite red ... my hair is not ash nor red-toned. This gold really changed my hair color to an unattractive reddish blond. I then bought a bottle of Clairol Professional Beautiful Advanced Gray Solutions, Semi-Permanent Hair Color for Gray Coverage in "Toasted Hazelnut" and mixed 4 parts of Toasted Hazelnut with only 1 part of the Gold ... the color came out perfect. I'm very pleased with how effective this product is and makes my hair color stay more uniform during the last couple of weeks before it's time for permanent hair coloring.
