this is hands down the best window exhaust for whatever need you have for it. Does'nt matter 6" or 4' you are getting the best i work as a lead maintenance for a company and in the spring time i put in over 80 AC units and this one is so easy to install and looks and performs great i use this at home and i have asked for the spring time to swap over to these so as i need them even at work now im gonna have them thats how much i like this product nd if any other Product coming from AC infinity there compotition cant even compare to their products all the way down to how it is Packed AC infinty has one up on all the rest

I’m using this to connect a 6in flexible duct and inline fan to exhaust a high performance PC. The PC and graphics card put out some major heat when the room door is closed. I put the intake fan next to PC and when running triple A titles, the heat goes out the window and I don’t live in a sauna anymore. Works perfect for this purpose and I am not paying for an extra window AC unit. That would probably work as well, but spending more electricity to cool a room seems less efficient than just exhausting the hot air out with a fan.

Its not perfect. My major gripe is all the thick plastic bags for stuff. That could have went into making nicer wing nuts/assembly hardware. Smells like the free toys included with fast food kids meals from the 80s/90s; in otherwords smells like happiness meals. Thats a star alone right there. Your window bug screen setup might need adjustment / cleaning depending on an intake/exhaust setup. Reguardless I would imagine crap on the screen either getting sucked in or pushed around depending on your window design, perhaps to the point of being forced out from too much outward airflow; so I think a decent sized duct run from the window to your fan is nessary to prevent a lot of problems stemming from bugs, rain and so forth and if your window opens horizontially then you pretty much have to put the outlet on the bottom for stability reasons.

Packaging is great and sleek. All components are neatly wrapped up inside sealable bags and instructions are easy to follow. Plus they are carefully packaged and designed inside this manual. The regulating mechanism for extending the plastic planks works well and is easy to set up. I'm surprised the whole thing is not more expensive.

The product is comparable quality to other brands with similar design. The main flaw is even though there is a 6" fitting, it still reduces down to fit the oval on the window plate. If you're using this for laser or smoke exhaust, you know back pressure is not good for the exhaust fan and will cause acidic smoke build up inside the fan and motor severely shortening its life. Secondly, the oval style outlet on the window plate doesn't allow clearance for the couplings to hose or pipe inside the window frame for some window styles especially vinyl style with raised sill. So, it doesn't allow exhaust window plat to rest in the bottom of the sill making it difficult to seal and decreasing rigidity overall.

This should fit in nearly any window, whether vertical or horizontal. The assembly is very easy, and almost self explanatory. I used my own tape all around the edges to weather seal it better, and you should look into propping up a length of wood or something between the window and the sill, as with this installed, anyone can simply push up or pull down the window and gain entry.

Simple design, quality, fits most windows! Perfect for the renter/gardener.
