New CID CosmeticsFoundation Buffing Brush

I bought this brush on the recommendation from a friend who is a Make-up artist and it does exactly what I expected - making my skin look a lot more "air brushed" after my foundation has been applied - far better than when I have previously used a sponge.

I am not really a fan of this buffing brush because I cannot find anything that it is good for in my current makeup routine. I have found that it is not ideal for applying foundation (which is what I thought it was supposed to be for) because it just absorbs all of the liquid in to the bristles and provides next to no coverage. It also wastes a lot of product by doing this.It also isn't great for blush because its a bit too stiff and makes the blush look fake on my face. I prefer a fluffier brush for this so I can blend it and make it look more seamless.For the price of this brush, I expected the bristles to be much softer but quite frankly I was disappointed and have had much softer brushes from cheaper brands like real techniques. I felt like I was going to hurt the sensitive skin on my face if I kept using it to buff product in.The only aspect I like about this brush is that it came with a handy travel pouch which means that (if you like it) you could carry it around in your handbag without the risk of getting makeup all over the placeIt would perhaps be good to use with a powder foundation but I do not currently use one of these in my routine so I can only speculate

I couldn't really get this to work particularly well with my foundation. I did not find that it helped me to apply it evenly, and I again resorted to fingers, which I have always found to be best. However, this lovely soft brush is excellent for removing excess face powder without any dragging or damage to the finish. Really pleased with this, although it probably wasn't it's intended use.

I wouldn’t be without this brush. The bristles are so soft and the handle is good quality.Makes putting on makeup a breeze!

Enjoyable to use and keeps its shape well. Does not absorb foundation the way natural fibres can do. Washes well and does not loose any hairs. Would recommend.

This brush is very attractive. The bristles are very soft and it comes in a plastic storage bag.When I applied my foundation the application went on well and I did not have any bristle loss.All is a nice makeup brush.

Mrs C likes nice things are so this rather fine looking foundation brush looked just the thing. It is made very nicely and looks very stylish. It keeps its shape well and the brush hairs are obviously of a quality. It does not absorb product, so there is no caking on the skin. It is easily rinsed and again keeps it's shape.Overall this is a nice quality brush, which we are happy to Recomend

Much like a standard foundation brush it leaves a lovely finish to the foundation. However, unlike a standard brush it has to be worked in circles around the face. This takes getting used to especially as the brush head is rounded and the bristles are well packed. It uses a little more foundation like a standard brush, but it doesn’t produce a heavy cover. It works foundation into the nose and eyebrow area as well.
