I will try to be as honest as possible because I depend on other people's reviews and feel I want to help the best I can: I already had a heavy Duty hitch pin that worked fine. It was the kind that was a solid rod all the way to the end, and had a hole drilled in it. BUT when I got my new Explorer and went to hitch my trailer up, I was surprised to find that the angled part of the pin needed to face outwards only to fit. This would've been fine except the hole was drilled in the opposite direction and I could not put the cotter pin onto it. I found this one on Amazon, that is beveled down near the end, allowing you to clip the cotter pin on and turn the angle part of the rod in any direction. WORKS PERFECTLY. I Recommend. Good Luck.

It does what it is supposed to do.
I used to have a lockable trailer hitch pin, but I lost my keys one day and had to cut it off. I decided that I'm not responsible enough to be trusted with keys, and I don't need to lock my trailer hitch to my truck anyway - who is going to steal a trailer ball-and-all anyway? This has worked for me for a year or so now, and I have had no problems. I haven't had any weird rust or anything, and the pin that holds the pin in the receiver is still tight and doesn't make me worry that it'll fall out.
