Great
• Can play with mouth and hold in hand easily (like a Saxophone, comes with a mouth piece) or play flat and attach the blowing tube (like a Piano, comes with the appropriate attachments)• Great sound quality- makes a Harmonica sound as it’s supposed too (the difference being you can play chords like a piano)• Very neat, clean and solid- good quality build!• So much fun to play with, for all levels of musician• Good range of notes with about 3 octaves, 12 tone equal temperament and keyboard format• Only issue is the F# and G on the higher octave sometimes get caught when played holding the melodica in hand and blowing directly• Amazing value for money

Value for money.
It’s a very good starter instrument. All the keys work and the tones sound true.

moderately in tune
bought this as a toy, but had research if I could tune it if it wsa to be too bad.it is fine for use along studio recorded music. the kids/grown ups using it to play along won't create a massive painful noise.A couple of keys aren't quite in tune but nothing so bad I thought it was worth fiddling around with it.One or two keys are also muffled a bit.it's fine for the money, it's quite fun and not aggressive on th ears

Easy to use fun to play
Would highly recommend this instrument. Very good quality. Light weight and an ideal size to carry about. It can be used on a table by using the included tubes. Comes with a padded carry case. I'm only just getting used to what keys are what and I would have liked the stickers that tell you what note is each key to be included. But is a fun way to learn keyboard skills

A good laugh!
I've been bringing this to band practice. Honestly an amazing instrument that has been an incredibly good laugh. Jokes aside the sound is actually pretty good and it sounds similar to an accordion. I have actually been using this melodica for recording along side piano as it gives of a pleasant sound! I wanted a joke and got an actually pretty good instrument. No complaints here x

Not worth
Material quality is not matching with the price. Buttons are not sensible and hard to push. Voice quality is reasonable for a toy. Price should be less for this quality.

Excellent value for money for a beginner or for children - EDITED!
I cannot fault this instrument for what it is - an inexpensive, mass-produced product designed for lots of fun.In my original review, I faulted this melodica for being out of tune. Now that I have had more time with it and actually checked the tuning against a digital piano, it is not anywhere near so far out of tune as first stated. The apparent fault was more to do with the pitch of a Supertramp CD, Even in the Quietest Moments, which on comparison with the same piano used for checking the melodica, is actually the element that is out of tune; quite flat. Odd, but true. (I'd bought the melodica initially to play along with the title track, which features this instrument)So apologies to the manufacturer and to anyone who read the original comment.I have also amended the score from four to five stars.
