These are jobber quality gaskets and I think they are good enough quality for my to use on a stock engine that didn't have any prior head gasket problems. If an engine had gasket issues before then the heads need resurfaced, no question ! These are THREE layers, two embossed shims and a center spacer, and I measured them right at .052 on the flat parts of the gaskets. (Measured with a low cost import dial caliper.) I think the price is fair for a pair of 6.0L GM LS head gaskets. They come on a extra thick piece of cardboard (each), double sealed, and in a cardboard box. The package would have to be intentionally mishandled to bend the gaskets. I Hope My Review And Pictures Were Helpful To You !!

The gaskets are metal and not to gasket material or cork. These are the metal gaskets that have now become more popular. The gaskets wear better and with less likihood of "blowing" Or getting a leaky head gasket is much more difficult using metal gaskets ,
