I loved this timer. Easy to use. Convenient with magnet. Nice easy to hear ring. Accurate. The next to the last time I used this timer, perfect as usual. The last time I used it, set the needed time for cooking a pumpkin cobbler. The little ticky sound it makes when counting down was reassuringly present. When the allotted time passed, the ringer did not go off!!!! I thought to look when it dawned on me that it seemed like too much time had elapsed. Sure enough…cobbler was burned and ruined. I guess I need a timer to time the timer. Bummed.

My daughter takes obnoxiously long showers so I bought this for her. We have had it a couple of years now, maybe even longer. She uses it for most of her showers and it lives in the bathroom. It's still working great. It's definitely durable for the length of time we have had it.

Just got mine so don't know how long it lasts. Easy to use and I presume it is accurate enough. Two negative comments: 1. It is not super loud. If you're in the adjoining room and the tv is not on you can barely hear it. TV on and it's impossible to hear. 2. The photos in the ad make the timer look like it is 10-12 inches across. It is not. It is just over 2 inches across and you can easily put it in your shirt pocket. The good news is that this timer is easily PORTABLE so it does not have to be super loud. Put it in your pocket and take it with you and then you can go work in the garden or hang out in the other room to watch tv and you can hear it easily.

Bought this terrific timer almost a year ago, and it's always worked perfectly. It's reliable, precise, with a solid feel much like the old kitchen timers. I move it several times a day, and I must have been pulling because the magnet came out. I glued it back in, and when that failed I taped it, and when that didn't hold, I just used it in the counter. I came to the comments to see if anyone else had the same issue. They didn't, but many mentioned the excellent customer service. Wow. I emailed and got an immediate reply. I asked for and received information from their factory about what adhesive I should have used (2 part epoxy). A replacement was sent anyway. A simply wonderful and increasingly rare professional response. So many products turn out to be junk that making a choice can feel like roulette. This is good, simple, well-made product that works exactly as it should, and there are responsible people who stand by it. Jackpot.

My 2nd try with this timer...first one last about 2 years and stopped working. I chose it again for it's ease of use and magnet, but this time I was careful not to wind it too quickly...did not matter...this one quit after 1 year

The good thing is that the item fits nicely on the side of the refrigerator, which is far enough from the heat of the stove (this timer has a magnet on the back). The bad news is that it is a very small timer, with small dark numbers that are hard to read. The timer is plenty loud enough, but I have to get right up to the timer to see how much time is left. I can't tell how durable this item will be; only much use will tell. For the past 30 years I had a Seiko quartz kitchen timer that hung next to the stove and was battery operated - I loved the Seiko kitchen timer but cannot find another one so I decided to go with a spring-loaded timer. The biggest disappointment is the size of the device and the size of the numbers on the device.

This is a totally revised review. I had earlier rated it at 1 Star and stated that this is just more cheap crappy Chinese JUNK!!!!!!!! AND TO BUY SOMETHING ELSE!!!!!!! Since then I've applied for the job of Chief Village Idiot!!! Wow, did I get it wrong! After I wrote that review, I went searching for another similar type of kitchen timer. In doing that I was looking at the ratings for other models and noted that in one of the ratings the reviewer said that probably some of the poor reviews for that timer we're because the reviewer did not crank the timer to 60 minutes and then back it off to the desired time and the that was required in order to get the bell to ring. And I thought to myself you don't suppose.... and it turns out that that was exactly the problem I was having with this timer!!! When I cranked it to 60 minutes and then back to 5 minutes and let it go! the alarm sounded and I might add, sounded very loudy, which could be heard easily three or four rooms away! AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TIMER!!!!!!

I wanted a kitchen timer to use swiftly and effortlessly whenever needed, which also looked OK and which just has a classical usual ring to it. You have to turn it back clockwise the whole way before setting it at the minutes you want it on, but that's no problem at all. A really great feature with this one is that it attaches magnetically so I have it on my refrigerator and when turning it it sticks good enough that you dont need to press it against the refrigerator or anything, which is also nice. Also the ring it makes is at the perfect decibel, not to loud, not to soft and you can hear the ticking when it's in countdown in a pleasant way. And I like the design too. I have been using it for around 8 months now and no problems, so I'm very happy about it and really recommend it.

This old school timer works Well the magnet is strong , the bell when rings is loud enough , please make sure you recoil the timer knob to the fullest extent (counter clockwise ) that is all the way back to 0 Which is 60 minutes then once the Spring has been loaded with the energy it's going to need to make the rotary work point the time knob to the time that you prefer and it'll count down from that point on if you fail to load up the Spring by recoiling the timer will not work, I paid a little more for this timer because I wanted something more heavy duty or heavy duty enough especially that it's in a commercial kitchen I hope this helps future buyers understand the usage of this basic simple proven timer

Yo buscaba un temporizador para mi mamá de 90 años en el que no se le tuviera que dar la vuelta completa antes de poner el tiempo requerido, pero fue imposible encontrarlo. Y además que tuviera una alarma que hasta que ella la apagara se desactivara. Pero fue imposible encontrarlo. Yo tengo uno con esas características y buscaba uno igual de la marca del libro Joy of Cooking

is an Xmas present so have no idea how it looks or how well it works

Stainless looks nice on my fridge. Very strong magnet and loud sound = good quality!
