Midori never disappoints and this notebook is my new fave. It's chunky, lies flats with quality paper that my pens don't bleed through. I use this for my daily journal and I look forward to cracking it open every morning. 10/10 no notes

Great journal. There is enough page for a whole year. It is great with fountain pens, love the color of the book and it is really smooth! Will buy again next year. The peeling off the bottom everytime I am done writing feels great! Wish there was a A4 Size. It is great value of money.

Midori is my favorite notebook brand, I've been using their standard lined A5 notebooks, but this time I wanted to try the codex. I was nervous it wouldn't work for me with its 5mm dotted format. After buying it + a clear cover, I'm relieved to say I'm loving it. That Midori paper quality simply cannot be beaten, plus the lovely minimalist design I've come to expect, it just looks and feels fantastic. The codex is a better value for your money too considering how many pages you get. I highly highly recommend this if you're comfortable with 5mm dot spacing, otherwise get the blank version.

Live the quality of this paper; it was made for fountain pens. Also appreciate that pages are white so ink color can pop.

The paper quality is excellent, it lays flat, the paper is bleed resistant, and the it feels smooth but sturdy. The cover is the same color as the paper and it lives up to the simple elegance common to Midori products. I recommend a cover to keep the cover from becoming grungy or tearing. However, I do not recommend this for first time journalers as the blankness of the pages can be a bit overwhelming. I recommend starting with the Midori 1 or 3 year journal which provides a bit more structure and guidance. Just my two cents... over all a high quality product.

Have become my favorite notebooks! Will be the ONLY thing I’ll be using both for school notes and for my journals. There’s no bleed through the grid is perfect yet light enough to not be distracting. The variation in sizes makes it so easy to work with. I’m in love.

One of the things that keeps me from writing more with a pen and paper is that coil-bound notebooks have a big coil in the middle that sucks, and book-bound notebooks don't allow you to write within three feet of the spine. This is codex-bound so it lays completely flat. It's pretty much a flat-sheet writing experience. If you like that, this is the best.

Love this Midori 1 day 1 page journal, the beautiful cream paper is a joy to write on with fountain pens and I haven't experienced any bleed through, only very slight ghosting because of the thin paper, which I don't mind. LOVE how it lays flat on every page. I haven't found myself using the tear-off page corners yet, because I prefer to number pages in the bottom corner. The dot grid is nice and subtle, gives the feel of a blank page creativity-wise but gives helpful guidelines for ruling and writing.

Absolut minimalistisch, mit offener Bindung in grün und weiß. Statt Lesezeichen-Band gibt es eine perforierte Ecke, die man abbrechen kann. Cremefarbenes, glattes, höchstwertiges Japanisches Papier, das sich gut für Füller und Bleistift eignet. Unbedingt einen passenden Klarsichtumschlag dazu kaufen, damit es nicht dreckig wird.
