So, start with my only complaint: kit furniture usually has stickers labeling each piece so you can match them up with the pictures in the directions. This does not. It took me a while to get started, figuring out which pieces I needed and how to put them together. After I got started, though, I did the entire thing alone in about 30-45minutes. The kit comes with an Allan wrench, but you need a small Phillips head, too. Pro tip - read all of the directions carefully first, and then do not tighten anything all the way until you’re ready to stand it up. This is just good practice for any assembly. If you can, a second set of hands would make assembling the doors a LOT easier. But I did it alone and they look good. The wood isn’t perfect, and there’s quite a few blemishes. The doors are also slightly offset, but it’s something you’re only going to notice if it’s been pointed out to you. However, for the price, this is really quality. It’s sturdy and it looks more expensive than it is. I would buy it again.

So I read reviews of this product before I bought it. Told my husband that some people said the assembly was challenging and time consuming. Not too challenging for him, but it did take about 2 hours to assemble. My tips are: make sure you take everything out of the box and make sure you have all the pieces and read instructions before you begin! Once you start assembly and realize something is missing, it's too late. Some purchasers are stating that the doors are difficult to get on and the doors only open a few inches. My husband had this problem, then realized the hinges were upside down. They need to be put on as shown in the picture. Once he figured that out, it was no problem at all. Also, if you are missing a part, or if anything is damaged, you can request a replacement. Look on your instructions sheet and it will tell you how to do this. All in all, I think it's a beautiful piece of furniture.

Update: I’ve had this for over four years now and love it even more! It has held up well, looks beautiful, and adds simple elegance to the room. I have moved it from my home to a conference room in my office. The finish has held up very well with no marks or scratches. If you’re looking for something that will last, this is one to consider. Original review: Had a bit of a challenge attaching one of the front doors, but once assembled it looks nice. I couldn't find a 55" TV that would fit on it, the maximum size I could find was a 50".
