Great Servo - highly recommended
Great cheap upgrade for SCX10 III Early Bronco. Works great and highly recommended. You need certain amount of knowledge and expertise in RC to make it work properly. First, make sure you positive and negative servo wires are plugged in correctly to your transmitter or it will be a DOA, LOL. Second, make sure you have enough voltage to power the servo. I recommend reading the manual before installing this. You can't find a decent 40KG servo for your crawler at this price!!!

Update 4-18 - 1st 40KG Servo D.O.A… reserving judgement
Update 4-18Replacement for DOA servo arrived. At time of install it functions properly and fit fine in Tekno MT410. Wheels turn rapidly (actually slowed down the initial movement slightly by adjusting dual rate on transmitter). Seems to maintain End Points and centers back to 0. I increased rating to 3 stars, but given my initial experience, plus all the other DOA reviews, the replacement for the one installed in my rig is already on the way from a higher end US mfg. I would suggest that if you can afford it, avoid the hassle and buy a quality servo from a known brand instead. $22.99 seems too cheap to me for a 40kg servo, and in reality I think it probably is. Not to be cliche, but You get what you pay for. DaveWas excited to try out my new build, when alas, I should have tested the servo when it arrived. I have since bought a servo tester. I purchased the 40KG for a Tekno MT410 w/ 3.8” wheels & Copperhead 2’s. Tekno specs a 350oz/in servo, which is ~25KG. I purchased the 40KG servo assuming the MFG probably at least doubled the specs, as is done by many lower priced manufacturers. When I went to take it for the maiden voyage, ….. Nothing. Threw in an old and underpowered Futaba servo and it worked fine (except it couldn’t turn the wheels). In addition to the servo not turning (by hand or power), one of the connector leads was not inserted fully into the slot, and at least a 1/2” of wire was bunched up inside the connector. Not the main issue, but probably didn’t help. From appearances only, the cases and spline seemed of nice quality material, and it even included an aluminum black anodized horn w/ polished aluminum edges. The horn won’t work for my app, but it was really nice, and is probably worth half the total cost. Given 2 major defects, I have to assume that no quality control or testing is done on these after 100K of them arrive piled in a shipping container from China. It may have worked when it left the factory, but any QC on part of seller before they pack em’ and ship em’ would have caught both issues. That being said, I feel better about getting a bad one if they do no QC, cause at least there is a chance the replacement might work. It arrives tomorrow and I will post a follow up review on the 40KG. The return exchange process was simple as always with Amazon. As I sit at home on a sunny 80 degree day when I should be out bashing, I asked myself, why will I spend $200 on a transmitter/Rx, almost $300 on an ESC, another $200 on a motor, and $22.99 on the steering servo, which in reality the speed and torque of the servo probably has more to do with the handling of the vehicle than almost anything, and definitely equates to how fast you can go. I plan to keep the 40KG from these guys as a spare if it works, but when you can buy an accurately rated, overbuilt, made in FL, USA servo with more torque than you could ever need for less than $100, I wish I had gone that route in the first place. I hope the replacement surprises me, and at least I will have an accurately rated 750oz/in .06 second 60 degree sweep servo of trusted origin to compare. Update to follow…… (insert anticipatory music).

Does not measure up!
Installed in a 1/10 crawler. 40kg is highly overrated. Would barely turn the wheels and is incredibly slow even on 7.4V. In this case you don't get what you pay for. Would not recommend. Giving 1 star cause it won't take less.
