Amazing! Surpassed expectations
These are amazing! With the recent heavy snowfall in the UK which where I live partially melted then refroze, turning the paths and roads into sheets of black ice I took a punt on these. They have surpassed my expectation, even walking on solid black ice it was like I was walking on a normal surface no slippage at all amazing traction. Felt incredibly safe and secure! I will return to update in around 6 months, I’ve noticed other reviews talking about durability and the rubber breaking, I could imagine this with regular use, but it’s the nature of the beast if you want a secure fit it needs to stretch. If like me you just want these in the cupboard for the once in a blue moon with have bad snow and ice well worth it!!!!

Good, solid, reliable
I think... So far, so good? I decked it on the ice twice in one day, a few weeks ago so decided to order these Yaktrax grips. I've only worn them on the ice once or twice and didn't slip at all but, I confess, I was walking a bit more carefully after my falls anyway! So, I think they're pretty effective (they certainly didn't make things worse). It's still fairly early days but, so far, they seem pretty robust! Other than that, they take a little effort to put on but nothing crazy - just might need to use both hands. They fit really well (I'm size 9) and, so far, haven't dislodged themselves off my feet. So, yeah. Good first impressions!

Works but not durable.
They work great as a temporary pocketable way to avoid slipping, put these on you to slip, just walk! But they're not a long day hike type item, the plastic breaks, if you carry some string (e.g. dymeena) as a self repair you can keep going. So long as you know that and use in that context it's a brilliant bit of kit. I use mine to walk to the shops for half a mile it's bliss to have no slipping and walk fast. Does sound like you're walking over eggshells.

Excellent
Used for a running event in the ice and snow and worked amazing. Very good fit and comfortable.

Reasonable grip but rusting
Provide reasonably good grip on icy pavements. Easy to pull over shoes. However the coiled wire underfoot sections quickly started rusting. Does not inspire confidence

Effective and good value
I actually bought these for my trip to Iceland and never used them! However, the last couple of days here in Scotland has been dangerously icy and these worked an absolute treat. No slips on the ice. They aren't the easiest to strap onto boots but other than that, great value and effective.

Walk naturally with improved traction
These definitely improved traction and are easy to walk in with your natural gait. However, they moved shifted position a little during a walk. How robust they turn out to be remains to be seen. Unlike 'crampons' fitted with spikes, these are smaller and lighter and more likely to pass through airport security if you want to take them on an overseas trip and they are less likely to damage other kit.

Good traction, not easy to put on or take off!
These were purchased for a holiday north oof the Arctic circle, Tromso, Honnigsvaag etc. They do provide extra grip in icy or snowy conditions but they really are not easy to put on and off and when your in and out of places that dont allow spikes inside, its not ideal so we ended up not wearing them all the time!

I bought these cleats for my wife. She has used them 4 times and they are already falling apart.
