My violin teacher recommended this book and so far it’s been really helpful. I like that it’s very detailed and it even has a glossary of all the music terms and notes at the end. A must have for every beginner 😊

The book is very helpful for parents of children learning to play the violin by this method The CD (included in the price) is especially recommended because the learner becomes familiar with the tunes they are expected to play by ear so confidence is boosted and progress quickly made. The book was expertly wrapped and cushioned so arrived intact - so quickly, in fact that the speed of delivery surprised us all. Many thanks.

Bought at my partner's guitar teacher's request. It was cheaper than elsewhere & secondhand is just fine since this is the entry-level book in the series.

Having played the violin many years ago, I was looking for a suitable book when I took up the instrument again. The book is fantastic and I'm flying through it. I find it very informative and easy to follow. The cd is good with the accompanying songs to listen to, then it has the backing tracks to play along with also.

Good explanation for each lesson

Really like this book so far compared to other beginner books this tops them because it has pictures to give better understanding and notes through the book that help, I've gone back to playing as an adult and find this book much less childish but easy enough to use of you were a child or a parent looking at helping your child this might have a few pointers that can help thoroughly happy with this product thanks!

Maybe one needs to be an evangelist of the Suzuki method BEFORE attempting to plough through this book. I have to admit, having learned as a child "the usual way", I found this far too laborious, repetitive, technical. It seems a helpful teachers aide for someone who wishes to pursue only this strict method, I would not recommend for a more general addition to your child's musical exercise repertory. Perhaps my mistake in ordering it then! Still giving a 3-star as there is a lot of information provided for a Suzuki fan.
