Enjoyable but dominated but eurocentric and male perspective
This is an enjoyable coffee table book that can easily be leafed through here and there. It has led me to discover architects I had never heard of before and make connections in my existing knowledge.I am extremely disappointed though that the book features only 1 female architect out of 26 and 0 buildings from Central or South America or Africa (from what I could tell) . I would encourage those interested in learning more about architecture to look beyond this book for additional perspectives in the world of architecture and would love to authors to release an updated version.

More than Just Iconic Buildings and their Architects
I have been a casual reader of architecture books for the past twenty years. I believe I know most of the iconic buildings and their architects. The pleasure of "Architects From A to Z" is that while the really famous architects are included there are also included a number of lesser known architects and their best buildings. This was a exciting to me. Paul Cattermole's work is an excellent reference source for learning about new architects.
