Excellent Overview of International Finance Law
I would recommend this book very highly to any law student or junior lawyer. It covers international finance law in all the main global legal systems from a very high level perspective, with more commentary given to the positions in the common law systems of England and the US, but also with commentary on typical requirements under the Napoleonic legal systems and the Roman-Germanic legal systems. The author concisely explains the policy behind many of the differences between the finance laws of different jurisdictions, which makes the book very readable. It is not, however, a practitioner's guide to English finance law, but a rather a broad overview from an international perspective. As finance becomes increasingly more globalised, this book is a good introduction to the issues that are likely to become increasingly more relevant to finance lawyers in the future.

Detailed book
It was one of the recommended books for my llm programme and i had to buy a copy for myself because i found it very useful. I particularly like how he goes into full detail on int'l finance and its more of a practical book rather than theoretical. As a lawyer if i were to draft a document on intl finance i would definitely consult this book.
