They are a pain to apply to the wall not sticking to the wall

These are lovely in looking but they are a pain when applying them to the wall. They peel off with the backing and wont stick against the wall. I followed the instructions exactly and litrally 5 mins later the letters and hearts are peeling off. No stickiness poor quality. Shame as i was going to order more.
