Beautiful blade! Would definitely recommend
My husband has wanted one of these blades for a long time. This was perfect for a Christmas gift. He's been making his own handles and enjoys doing so, so I was finally able to give him the unique beautiful blade he has always wanted. When he finally finishes the handle I will upload a picture.

but took a good edge quite easily
The blank I received needed a bit of sharpening, but took a good edge quite easily. I use an 8" sisal wheel with black rouge for sharpening. The knife finished off very nicely with a Tambotie wood and brass mix handle. I'll buy another.

It came with a ding!
It's a gorgeous blade but when I got mine it had a ding in the tip of it. Hopefully this is just a one time thing but I don't think I'll get the blade in particular when I get a new one

Very High Quality Steel.
More than exceptional. So hard I could barely sharpen it. It was already razor sharp. Very high quality steel.

Nice, but not the best
I've ordered two of these after reading the advertised 57-60 Rockwell hardness, 1095 steel etc. the blade is well made and reall makes a nice looking finished knife. But it doesn't test out at even 55 Rockwell, the edge rolls easily when sharpening and it won't take a really good edge, maybe a problem with tempering, or inconsistent quality. I think it's made in Pakistan, and I have no problem with that, but it's not comparable to normal and properly tempered 1095 or D-2 blade steel. The price is pretty good, quality could be better.
