GREAT computer in a TINY package!
I was tired of trying to pull up Internet content using my not-so-smart TV's browser, so I decided to try a PC stick. I didn't want to spend a lot of money, or have a large box on the back of the TV. I had never tried a mini-PC, but thought the AKLWY Mini PC Stick looked like a good choice. It's a little larger than I expected, but still VERY small! See the photo of the unit in my hand. But it has everything you need: built-in 2.4G and 5G WiFi, three USB-A ports and one USB-C port (to power the unit with the included power adapter), an audio out port, and of course the HDMI output connection that goes right into a port on my 1080p TV.The cardboard box (no plastic) includes everything you'll need, except the keyboard/mouse. I'm using a Logitech that uses one USB dongle for both, so I just use one port on the stick. One thing I especially appreciated, is the included short HDMI cable, so that I can plug it in without putting undue stress on the HDMI connector on the stick or on my TV. Very thoughtful. The setup took about 10 minutes. The computer is peppy and fast, considering the low price and tiny footprint. I downloaded the Chrome browser, and it synced all of my extensions perfectly. I've run a lot of videos through YouTube, and it plays back everything without a hitch. The WiFi works perfectly. I haven't had a chance to use the included Bluetooth, but I'm sure it will be peppy once I need it. Because of the fast WiFi, I doubt that I'll ever need to use the included Gigabit Ethernet port, but it's great to know I have it if I need it.Web browsing is fast, and so far I haven't had any issues nor hiccups. It just works. Which is exactly what I need it to do in this particular application. I don't want to have to wait on the computer, and so far that has not been a problem.I'm not a gamer, so I can't speak to the efficacy of this computer for that use. I've had the unit on 24/7 since I installed it about a week ago, and have had no troubles. I leave it on so that it's ready for me when I switch over to that input to use the computer. I also use it to monitor my 21 security cameras, so that I can monitor any shenanigans from my couch. All in all, this is a GREAT little PC for the price. The biggest surprise to me is how responsive it is. I wasn't expecting a "real PC" experience because of the Celeron processor, but this is certainly worthy of that description. The fan is EXTREMELY quiet, and the unit got warm, but not hot, in my experience. If you need a tiny PC with a lot of features for a tiny price, this is your computer!

Smaller form factor, does get hotter than usual mini pc.
This mini computer tries it's best to compact everything into a small form factor. In terms of processor, it has basic processor for home basic use. One thing I love about these PC is how small and compact the computer is while also giving you additional USB ports. There are three usb ports on the sides. They are spaced out enough to not conflict with each other. If I were to compare size, it is about the size of a 1st generation intel mini computer that came out a few years ago. It is slightly bigger and has more ports on it. There is an ethernet port which is a nice addition to this. It has a nice smooth glossy finishing top which unfortunately can get unnecessary finger prints on it. It also makes it easy to get scratches on but it is light weight so you could mount it if you wanted to. The next thing about this is that there are grills on the top of the mini computer to make it easy to vent the device and keep it cool. That being said the device itself is a bit loud. I did try to push the devices capability. It does not get pretty warm when you are pushing the CPU and ram. There are three USB 3.0. There are two on top and one on the side. This makes it easy to access on both side. The USB ports work well. I plugged in several different devices and they detected and powered it no problem. It only requires one port to power the hard drive (2.5 hard drive). The transfer rate is about the same as any other 3.0 if not faster. The USB 3.0 transfer fairly quickly depending on what device you have plugged into it. The down side of having something this compact is that the cables are pretty much sticking out of all sides of the device so it is very difficult to cable manage. The power button is on the side and with the flash memory it boots up pretty quick. The device does have 256 GB storage memory which is perfect for just running the operating system and a few application. I would say this should be the bare minimum. The nice thing is that you can actually remove the back panel in order to upgrade the storage memory (not the ram thought). You can upgrade but you will need to reinstall or clone the drive. That being said, this is by no means meant to be a mini gaming PC and it most likely cannot handle the game either way. Being a small computer with only a simple processor, it does not have much processor power. Just on stand by alone it was already reading at 50 to 60%% CPU usage. You do get a noticeable lag when opening up the browser and trying to load a page; however, once you have it loaded it is relatively smooth. It does have a hard time with multitasking but honestly this computer is really only meant to do stream or do the basics. You are not able to dual screen with this device. It also has a built in wifi that can connect to 2.4 or 5 Ghz. Overall, this PC does what it is suppose to do. It is VERY small form factor and it is not the most powerful PC on the market. It is an excellent PC to have for your television or children. It can watch videos, transfer files, and anything else you may want to put onto your TV. The processor definitely is on the lower end. It does the job though and will be perfect for home use or running a home server. I definitely would recommend this to replace your roku or other media streaming device. The device heavy and I would highly recommend that you use the extension as this is a bit of a heavy and big device and it could hang.

Compact PC stick with good cooling and performance for the price
This is a perfect compact PC stick with good specs and a good price. Size-wise, it's small, a little bit bigger than my gaming mouse as you can see in the pictures. It has tons of connectivity options, quite a number of USB ports (three to be exact) for this small of a form factor as well as HDMI and Ethernet ports. It also has Wi-FI and Bluetooth for cables free connectivity and peripherals.Another cool feature to note is that they fit a fan cooling system into the design. I have used other PC sticks that were passively cooled and would have stability issues or die prematurely in some applications like behind a TV or in a warm data closet. The fan isn't that noisy so it's s a welcome feature to have on a PC stick.Interestingly enough, the PC stick comes installed with Windows 11 Pro. The J4125 CPU performs well for the applications that I use it for. It does great with HEVC and H264 decoding and playback. It works well for light web browsing and basic desktop computing. It works great for digital signage and for video playback. It's low profile is also great for having a low power headless PC for remote desktop or monitoring. All in all, I would say this is an inexpensive PC stick that's well designed and has enough power for a variety of uses. The active cooling solution puts it on top of the other PC sticks at this price point.
