One good, one dangerous.
I ordered two. One worked. The other got very hot as soon as I put the batteries in. It melted the sleeve of one of the batteries, and when I popped the battery out that burnt the paper it landed on. These appear to be a cheaper version of one I've used for a year or more - they are almost identical to it, and have the same numbers etc.

Good value for money
Great tool for sanity checking when working on electrics.This unit is very cheap but seems good quality. The buzzer is loud so it is useful for checking electrics in adjacent rooms.I had a break in a flex and this found it, very useful bit of kit.

Like a bulletproof vest made of sugar paper.
Worse than useless. Gives false negatives when tested in the same place repeatedly. False positives would be annoying whilst sort of fine, but false negatives are incredibly dangerous if people trust this device out of the box. A tennis ball or small taxidermied shrew are just two examples of objects which would be better testers because neither would come with the possibility of doing you in.One plus side is that the torch is very bright, so you'll be perfectly able to see yourself getting electrocuted.

This item is must , I have used it so many times in the short time Ive had it and its priceless , it bleeps when you find a live wire , I would suggest when you test it on a wire you make sure your push the item all sides of the wire and not just the one side as wires can twist and you may not get a beep . so be careful of that

A little on the plasticky low quality build side, but that said does exactly what I bought it for so pretty happy.

Useful little tool
Good little tool, came in useful recently with an electrical issue. Can't complain about cost, delivery took ages, but was worth it.
