While the printing wasn't perfect, it will be well covered once the pages are coloured in. I bought this as a different birthday gift for my Mum as she's going away abroad right before her birthday. I thought she'd like something relaxing to do on the plane. For obvious security reasons, they don't like her taking her knitting needles on the plane! Lol! She has about 10 hours flight time to kill & this will help her chill out on the flight. The designs are cute & varied, so there will be designs to suit everybody's tastes. I didn't buy the pencils recommended with this book though, as they didn't have very good reviews. Instead, I bought her Crayola double end, which gives 24 colours in 12 pencils, which will be perfect for taking up as little space as possible on the flight.
