It's not 100% cast iron, it's okay does the job but I don't use it much. 80% cast iron 20% steel
Edit on Dec 2019: when used indoors smells like gas especially when on full whack, could be better designed, no longer needed.Works okay have had few weak flame issues I managed to sort out myself but the actual thing the wok sits on isn't cast iron.and u don't think the feet are either, misleading right?!It's not 100% cast iron the paint peels off the when you use it. The base seems to be cast iron also by the gas brass parts is clearly cast because you can see the case mould lines. 80% cast iron 20% steel or other metal.

Very solid burner.
Built like a tank. Excellent for outdoor cooking if you need maximum temperature. I would recommend buying a wind guard as well.

Great burner, pity about the delivery/packaging.
I'm giving this 3 stars because of poor packaging/damage. I had to return the first unit due to a broken pipe on the inlet manifold, caused by damage in transit as evidenced by various impact holes on the packaging. However the seller, Garden Secrets, were very efficient at organising a replacement unit. Unfortunately the packaging on the second delivery again showed damage by rough handling. However this time there was no damage to the burner unit, but the inlet manifold pipe was full of polystyrene particles broken off from the blocks used in the packaging. Fortunately I noticed this and made sure I cleaned out the manifold pipe before testing the unit, otherwise these particles could have been blown into the gas taps and burner rings by the gas flow. I suggest Garden Secrets should take up this problem of polystyrene particulate with the manufacturers, which is an unsuitable material for packaging heavy objects. Also they should put a simple seal on the inlet pipe to prevent detritus contaminating the gas inlet manifold. The burner works well and I look forward to using it.
