No instructions (update)
Didn’t have any instructions with it. Not a big issue easy enough to assemble. Pump will turn on but nothing happens. Received four sets of filters and none of them are labeled as to their filtration level. For something that should be a pretty easy setup, sure is difficult just to get it to work as it should.***Update***I forgot to come back and update my review. This is an awesome product. You tubed how to get it started and since then I have never had an issue with it. Easy to set up and easy to clean and the double filter system has my beer turning out extremely clear and beautiful. This may be the best post fermentation product I have bought for my home brew besides the kegerator. Drink local friends.

No tubing (updated)
I ended up buying tubing as I could never reach the seller. Unfortunately that’s not the only problem. The pump is so weak that it won’t even prime with less than a foot of tubing on it. Total waste of money. Do not buy.——-Original review:I would love to be able to write a rave review, but I cannot use the product as it did not cone with the tubing pictured in the listing.

cost isn't too terrible and you can use literally any home water filter including charcoal filters
Well it's worked quite well so far I actually don't regret buying this🤣 but it does work pretty well and at the end of the day just run a little sanitizer through it and you're good to go for your next run oh yeah and Chuck the filters

Great for small-scale homebrew
I've used this machine a few times now. Setup is relatively straightforward, as is operation. I highly recommend watching the Northern Brewer instructional video, as it goes into better detail than either the manual or Buon Vino's video.I ordered mine from UBREWUSA here, and coming with the pre-filter and some #2 pads made this a great value over most stores and sellers. An additional hose to connect the pre-filter and the pump would have been nice, but I'm not going to quibble over a $.25 piece of plastic for the deal I got.Cleanup is a little more iffy than I would like. No instructions I've found give me a good idea of what I should do to keep the machine (and especially the pump) in good working order, but I don't seem to have broken it yet.If you know what you're doing (RTFM or watch some videos) and let your brew clear out some before using the filter, it'll help put a really nice polish on and let you avoid sulphites if that's important to you.------------------------------------------------Everything below this line is directed straight at the manufacturer, but it might be good to know for you, too.Buon Vino, if you decide to make a revision, there are two things you need to address. First, please put a GFCI plug on the power adapter. I'm using this in a kitchen, I've just gotten the whole thing wet, and there will be leaks by the nature of the process. Help me stay a little safer and just put a GFCI plug on here.Second, I need at least instructions on how to clean the pump, but better would be a way to disassemble the front so I can get into it and scrub. Right now I'm just running a few extra gallons of clean water through and hoping that's good enough.

First impressions not bad
It's a simple system you can easily make some modifications for improvements. It will get the job done. The not great- One of the feet came off before arrival with no seeable screw or nut to reattach. Fixed that, and tightened loose screws- The motor isn't strong enough to effectively compensate for the additional external filter. will either need to add another pump before it or at the tail end. (tested with sanitized water)- Not for 1gallon batches. you will get air in your wine/meadThe good- It works as intended- The parts individually are more expensive to get so you save cost on this kit to get you going- Nice steady flow once it's going- Easy to clean- No leaks

Do your research before using and this will treat you well!
Wholy crap!!! This thing is well worth the money. We use this more as a transfer pump than a filter. But it does great for both! Do your research before using this! This is not something to filter from primary, or even early secondary. Kill and settle your liquid first, then filter.

Junk
This is useless, wine must not have any settlement at all. Or it will leak a lot, it leaks regardless. the unit has major issues I had to put 2 c clamps on it and it still spayed all over ... however the wine is super clear, my wine was cloudy and clogged the filter just after 12 750ml bottles.
