I started using these as a substrate for my whites tree frogs because they are very clumsy and it gives you a nice thick padding maybe a little harder to clean than I would like but definitely much better priced then some of the Frog foam out there

I use this around a pump in my pond (300gal) to filter out the gunk. Works well. Every so often I power wash it to clean out the build up and put it back. Makes the water turn from murky to clear.

I cut and put this in as a pre filter in my power filter to get some of the bigger debris out prior to the hard plastic carbon filter. I now no longer have to run the expensive pre-made filter cartridges

This foam is easily cut to size for whatever function you plan. I use it in my FX4 aquarium filters and it's the best!
